  • Ligenfelter prices are such a ripoff it seems like, but that 2 year warranty I guess is what makes is somewhat worth it (seems like it's really built to last, as oppose to built to win races for a season).

  • buy the corvette motor or a crate engine. gm performance makes the zz427 but its carburated. theres also the 427LE or buy the ls7 which is the 7.0. plus i think the lsx is a 427 i havent done much research on it so i might be wrong about the lsx

    An LSx is any LS engine series, which is considered a small block, like LS1, LS2 etc. The LSX too, but it has a few internal changes and is made from iron. It comes in 454 ci.

    LSX is a 454 ci engine = 7.4 liters, spot on about the 427 engines though

  • @jpap967 i never really did much research on the lsx i just knew it was something like a 427 or 454, and thanks i actually impress a lot of people with my knowledge of cars for being only 16.

  • @jpap967 LSX is a series of blocks. They go from 3.990 bore to 4.25 bore, with a up to a 4.25" crank on the standard, and I think a 4.5" crank on the tall deck. That leaves room for something just over 500 cubes max. The LSX 454 is just a 454 built with an LSX block instead of an old style big block. 4" stroke, 4.25" bore.

  • Ok lets use are heads here, what would you start off with A 20,000$ ws6 raim air formula which they did in fact make. Or a $3,000 six cylender FIREBIRD. since the engine is swaped out by lingenfelter along with rear end,tranny,etc. not sure why any one would butcher a rare ass car like a WS6 formie, So i would bet my money its a six cyl. maybe a formie but not a WS6 formie I guarentee...

  • no it's a firebird with a trans am hood. the hoods are interchangeable i know i have a firebird. the nose of the firebird and trans am are different

  • formula ws.6 cars had v6 bumpers and ramair hoods.

  • no such thing as a formula ws6, only a formula or ws6, but no ws6 has ever come with the v6 hood unless it was convertible

  • there is such thing as a ws6 formula. they are very rare. and whats a v6 hood? all birds are either single or double stacked (ws6), the ram air hood.

  • ws6 formula only in lt1 1995 -1997 no ls1 formula was ever a ws6 1998-2002 no fomula after 2000 had a ram air hood i think

    thats either a Firebird or a Formula with the WS6 hood

    it has a low spoiler, there is now way thats a TA unless they swapped out the entire hatch for it.

  • That's because alot of idiots actually think there is a big difference between The Trans Am WS6, firebird, formula, camaro z28, and camaro ss. Aside from a less restrictive exhaust, final drive gearing, and maybe intake THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME. Technically speaking, the Trans Am WS6 weighs the most of the three. It's more of a flashy car, the flip lights, bigger wing, and premium interior and sound make it around 50lbs heavier.

  • Check out LS1tech.c0m if you're into the 4th gens (technically late 3rd gens). It is alot less mind numbing than youtube. I'm actualy really beginning to hate youtube.

  • I agree. Look at the front bumper too. The TA has the fog lamps in the center by the bird emblem, not out to the sides like the formula or firebird.
