in real life,jubeis real name is Yagyū Jūbei Mitsuyoshi and was a samurai and he appeared in 1616 and it was not until 1631 did reappear again.He also left hints on his whereabouts during his absence from Edo Castle from 1631-1643 and there was little info about hi life,the eyepatch legend and he being a ninja came out as speculation.

Love jubei-chan! I remember going to anime expo 05 in LA and geneon playing all the trailers from their promo disc and I got a coipy and it had the trailer and I was like, "SWEEEET!" More jubei chan samurai awesomeness. And when I learned the disc came with the first episode I almost had a seizure!!! Best opening ever. BTW would any one object if I did an abridged series on Jubei Chan? I also had other ideas for abridged series to work on. But I'm not sure which to do first.
