  • absolutely awesome

  • ok western greece is gone...

  • I live just down the coast under Mount Etna, 62 meters above sea level, and 2 km away from sea, but this simulation is to some tsunami already happened, or some probable tsunami?

  • @arcos77 This simulation is about a tsunami that already happened, so you have nothing to worry about ;)

  • That island to the right got fuckkkeeddd.

  • @cr199 It's Crete, and we here start vendettas for smaller reasons(of course you understand i am kidding right?)

  • One can clearly see its outlines and that the moving landmass stopped short some 3-4 miles before ever reaching the Mediteranean .

    but hey,what do i know, i'm just a casual observer ..:-)

    comments anyone ?

  • @iossysm maybe the coastline was different...

  • I happened to watch a documentary on the subject on history channel, so i decided to check it out for myself...

i went on google earth and took a close look at the topography of the area and of the landslide's path.

what became imediately apparent to me is that the landmass that supposedly have coused this mega tsunamy,in fact has never really reached the sea!

    continuing below>>

  • this actually very interesting :P

  • 6000-7000 b.c. ....mmm... couldn't it be the deluge myth???? I mean it...

  • Dear assandthem,

Still if you try to evacuate it actuly causes more deaths Insted,Go to the community center or get into a building that was building reinforcements and get to the top floor

  • To Every Viewer,

Do you think this Tsunami would cause much destructtion?

    Answer:Yes.

Due to the fast traveling of a Tsunami it isnt possible to evacuate unless you want to experience the frightful feeling of haveing to get out of your car and run away from it with your bare feet, looking behind you at a big wall of water about to induct you

  • interesting fact in this simulation to observe the amount of time necessary to the tsunami to involve the whole area. That really makes me think there's plenty of time to evaquate most of the places involved before the wave comes. Unfotunately the destruction potential of the wave is inversely proportionated with time available to escape.

  • This was probably the largest tsunami from the appearance of the man on Earth.

I have found another reason to leave my city.

  • @datadinascita apparently there was a tsunami in alaska taller than WTC, only some 50 years ago

  • great

  • Well, now I'm glad I live 500 miles inland.

  • OMG!!!!

  • I visted mount etna when I was 12 years old..wow

  • amazing simply amazing

  • that real amazing i didn't know that a wave could do that much destruction
