Wiesz, dla mnie Ci ludzie są bez wątpienia bohaterami, lecz gdy dzisiaj przechadzam się po Warszawie i widzę obok przedwojennej kamieniczki szare brudne bloki to staram sobie wyobrazić jak Warszawa musiała być piękna przed wojną. I am always very reserved when it comes to cosider people as heroes, but the mere facts about Witold Pilecki make me freeze in awe. A man who first fought in 1939 as a soldier, than willingly went into a concentration camp, stayed there, built up an underground organisation, documented the nazi crimes in Auschwitz, smuggled them out of the camp, then fled and even participated in the Warsaw uprising! Unbelievalbe courage!

The Warsaw Uprising of 1944 was about fighting brutal Nazis German occupation. It is true that Polish underground army and mostly Polish civilians fought overwelming German force, but Poles did killed over 17 000 of German soliders...If I lived in those times I would be proud to kill barbaric Germans, they diserved it!
