A7x is a Nocturnal Rites wannabe. This song was released in 2000, Avenged Sevenfold released their song "Afterlife" in 2007. And A7x sounds a lot like Nocturnal Rites. Maybe they have some Nocturnal Rites influences? (They don't sound similar enough to have ripped them off though).

There are a whole bunch of amazing swedish bands, this of course, Bloodbound, Tad Morose, Wolverine, Evergrey, Silent Call, Dream Evil, Dragonland, Zonata, Angtoria (with the exeption of the singer who is from UK) I don't know maybe you know better than I do, only my dad is from sweden, I live in the states. But then I am possibly a little obsessive when it comes to bands.

@Heladharas you clearly didn't have that same experience in high school then. going against the grain is a tough road, but it's worth it in moments like that. for you eminem and nocturnal rites exist in the same musical world. for me and the 27 people that agreed with my earlier comment, those artists are mutually exclusive
@meanmark1 I would typically use Adagio for that sort of thing... but Adagio would make anyone shit their pants... they are simply the best band ever.

@SlaveToTheDark It's really a matter of personal opinion. I think their best album was The 8th Sin (or perhaps the Grand Illusion), and personally I think the best power metal album was The Perfect Machine by Vision Divine. Personal opinion. All that said, Nocturnal Rites is definitely an epic, awesome band and is one of the best. (In my opinion of course) =D

I bought this album when I was 18, my fourth then by NR, I'm almost 30 now and to this day it's still one of my favourite albums in my collection!
