Bailesie, if you haven't heard of the Marching 100, you haven't done your Ohio University Marching Band homework. In 1967, when the band started its present day look and style, it's name was The 100 Marching Men of Ohio. The next year it became 110 Marching Men of Ohio. When women came back into the band several years later, it became The Marching 110.
I was the announcer for the last year of the OUMB and the first three years of The Marching Men.
I was in the 110 and I know the history quite well. What the 110 was called and is called now is different, yes, but my comment was more of a sarcastic reply to CastroKathy's "boring" comment. All in context, my friend.
From what of seen, Ohio university is a mixture of USC and Ohio state's marching band. The question is are you guys corpstyle or traditional, because just like the other two bands, you seem to be a mixture. If Ohio U was more technical Id go there but for now I plan on going to western carolina as a complimentary band from marching with Carolina crown. Western's drumline is amazingly technical and rudimentary on a collegiate level and is even featured on vic firth's page. Check them out.
With all do respect, this "video" or rather slide show with music only hits perhaps just 1% of what could possibly be portrayed. With all the creativity you have I would have hoped for more and hope to see this quickly revised with some action shots and video. This is YOU TUBE. You can and should do better. Perhaps I am missing your point and message.
This creation was just for memories and fun we had as a line in my last year. I very well couldn't have added video, since I don't have access to any. They stopped filming up close video of the 110 in 2002. No one I know videos the shows, so I did what I could with what I had. I suppose I could have used old videos, but that would take away from the memories of this particular year.
I love this line. I love this video. and you guys have A LOT of real nice gawk and diddle tricks in your breaks and cadences. yall are awesome! I wanna be in 110 someday and the 2005 line is a real inspiration to me. great job!
Marching 100? Never heard of them, but I HAVE heard of the Marching 110. Glad to see it was boring enough to merrit a comment. Besides, what would a video camera do for me when I marched? :D

Hey at 1:25 are those marching timbales, I've been trying to figure out what they are????

Yep, the 110 marches 'duos' - split up a quad set. Drum 1 and 2 are mounted together, same with drum 3 and 4.

Ok. I lied in the other comment. I don't think I know you personally, but I have seen you around campus.
Congrats on graduation (if that's why 05 was your last 110 year), and the pictures you used for this are of fantastic quality.
Bravo!
