anyway other than this timing issue, the guys didn't submit their deposit at all.. apparently there was a group of people who were trying to bring this to court and have stopped because they found out that the guys screwed up in too many ways...

I just saw this video and i was shocked to know the true. Do anyone know if they are going to appeal? I find what he says make sense and they are in the same room. I think it is right for the officer to tell Mr. Ng Teck Siong that he was left with how many minutes to submit the form. And Mr. Ng Teck Siong did the right thing because he did asked for permission to allow to go over to the next table.

Even a PSLE candidate these days knows how to plan for contingency by arriving early enough for the exam. I don't see why veteran politicians like Ng Teck Siong cannot do the same for something as important as GE, knowing full well that the bureaucracy will never do the opposition any favors. If he can't even do a simple thing like this, it's probably just as well he doesn't stand for election. Sad but true.

I've to agree with PoliticalAwakening, why only give 1 hour for something so important? the amt of resources poured in to mobilise this are huge, surely another hour is not too much. Also, the candidates were already in the hall, not like they are outside, surely a "shout" or announcement that its the last minute for handing in forms to the people in the same hall isn't too much to ask for?

They sure got security video to verify. Get them to verify the time line. It is never too late. Even after the election bring it up to the court and let the judge decide, though he may not be 100% fair but at least you must showed that you have tried all means to gain justice. Maybe then we will have a sub election fo TP GRC.
