  • Didn't knew Joe Perry and Steven Tyler got a song together and play guitar!

  • The singer looks like Riff Raff from Rocky Horror Picture Show.

  • I am remember when this song was current and on the radio, even though I was only about five or six years old. I remember hearing it in the car on the way to school...but I had not heard the song in lord knows how many years, and I had forgotten what a great song it really is...I recently saw the "Louie" television show and it made me want to hear the whole song again. Brought back a lot of memories. Thanks. :o)

  • Yeah take a trip back to the 60s when the Rascals sang they also had soul....

  • dis whiteboy can sing, huh

  • #1 the week I was born... I came here for the Facebook challenge

  • bass player here i believe is kenny aaronson who joined in 73 with keyboard player ken bichel, when mike brown left

  • So kool, how the times are a changing.

  • Who is kicking ass on the bass? He is fantastic!!!! Great tone and soooo funky with his lines!! Apparently he is not a regular member of the band as Lloyd (lead singer) was the band's bassist I believe.

  • Its a good song .. i like his voice ..

  • Proof that white people got soul

  • @schclum On both sides, soul comes from Native American blood. Believe that. =)) Cherokee, y'all.

  • RMI electra piano?

  • @Hgclaw RMI...Holy cow, that's a blast from the past. Always good when paired with a Maestro phase shifter (the one with the big plastic rocker switches for speed)

  • 3 people still haven't tasted brown sugar.... !!!

  • @TheMatrixPipe

I did. It wasn't that great actualy! Not saying it's not good tough just not for me

  • @MrMattthefox

Well, all depends of a lot of things....

  • @TheMatrixPipe LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I am 2 and I love this music!

  • great video......kinda looks like RVZ and Heart's Roger Fisher.....lol....all kidding aside, great, rockin' 70's 1 hit wonder. FYI: I bet not most of you know this, but Ian Lloyd (the lead singer) sang backup on Foreigner's debut in 1977. One of their songs (Headknocker) references Brother Louie. Enjoy!

  • This music film above was from 38 years ago in 1973. Take this 'exact' song-band with the 'same'=instuments, hair styles, & clothes. It would fit perfectly right into 2011 as NOT being aged, old, stale, or dated at all in any way. But rather fresh and in modern 2011 style!!

  • This has always been a great song. I am in my 50's, had long hair, and grew up in the 1970's with this type of music real time. It is still the best of the best. Wow what a trip and good memories! His great voice in this song sounds a lot like Rod Stewart in his song Maggie May.

  • I'm 19 and came here because it's a great song. Not because of Louis CK.

  • @THEsethjacobs no one gives a shit how old you are you old cunt

  • im 16 and i love this song

  • I'm a young man in my 30's, and I like this song!!!

  • *Looks below the like bar* "As Seen On: StrippersOnline". O.o

  • Wow, Watching this video reminds me of my father, who was 'bout 59 or 60 years young and he knew every word to this song and would sing it loudly; very loudly! lol... ;)

    RIP daddyO

  • great old tune....

  • I came here because I'm old and this kicked ass when I was ten!

  • he sound like Janis !?

  • muy buen tema, exelente cancion, gracias muchachos

  • thank love this classic been looking for it for years just kept getting that other stupid song you know the one I just knew it was callled Louie Louie Louie Lou ah

now thanks to You I know it's called Stories that thank u so much for posting

  • @sweettea8534u The song is called "Brother Louie", the band is The Stories.

  • Muy buena cancion

  • IN 1972 MY MOTHER AND SISTERS AND I REIMAGRATED BACK TO HOLLAND FROM CANADA !!!! COMING BOCK TO HOLLAND WAS A CULTURE SHOCK I TELL YAH!!! THE MUSIC SCENE WAS DIFFERENT HERE!!!! BACK THEN STORIES WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITES!!! STILL NOW IT TELLS A STORIE!!!!!! LET IT ROCK ON!!!!

  • esta le encantan a mi tio...

  • in the 8th grade.

  • Yeah...there's a lot of truth to "danger, danger, when you taste brown sugar". LOL

  • Was 17, had just moved from Hawaii to Missouri. Definate culture shock for me. Going from being able to date who ever I wanted, to being told I had to make up my mind about what kids in school I was going to hang out with........ But, on the other hand I was popular because I was a black girl who moved from Hawaii so alot of guys of both races wanted to go out with me. I ended up dating a Kiowa Indian boy....It was just hormones anyway...

  • Rod Stewarts brother.

  • @THB79 OMG Yes! His voice its so alike

  • Reminds me of riding to school in the school bus with the radio playing......ah what careless days those were!!

  • i just love that brown sugar!!!!

  • Danger when you taste brown sugar and my caribbean sugar cane * wink *wink

  • I knew a mexican band that could play this song exact. Even vocals. they were very good!

  • I wish to see more of the bass playa........

  • I remember listening to this song on the radio. Great memories, from a great time.

  • Fantastic song. When I heard it on the 105.3, started googling couldn't find anywhere, kept getting the crap versions of louie louie. First time I heard of the band. Great unorthodox vocals. First though it was AC/DC. Very Very Cool Song when you driving up the beach front.

  • this is one of the greats! period!!

  • so sad the song....

  • awesome bass lines ,,,

  • His vocal chords are connected to his right eye brow.

  • He's still got it, he sounded fresh as fuck on the Louis C.K. recording.

  • ta chevere para tocar en un bar...!!!!

  • cool

  • 200,00/+ view and no1 like the song?well I gave it a thumbs up

  • number one the day I was born... :)

  • I would love a clean studio recording of this song. I'd even accept a one-take remake...but in the studio, without the crowd noise.

  • Bless that bassists groovy heart. Almost zero screen time.

  • I would have liked to have made a movie based on this tune; It would have rocked, and would have been a tribute to the Blaxpliotation movement of The 70's. Oh well...

  • good stuff..

  • Бля, отлично, супер!!!!

  • @sudboris Вы правы, человек чертовски отличную

  • Responder a este vídeo... Вы правы, человек чертовски отличную

  • ain't no difference if your black or white <3

  • Good song. Love the intro.

  • I came here because of louis ck's show

  • @SpacialPancake i hear it in my dads 70s collection cd

  • Hi Peter

  • wheres the bass player?... btw great song :D

  • really good song! and the guy on the guitar is really sexy ;)

  • is that chris robinson of the black crows?

  • There's a spot at exactly 2:00 where the singer looks confused because he forgot the next lines (which he did), and then at 2:09 he raises his eyebrows like he's saying "I got away with that one, didn't I?"

I LOVE this song, and what a massive bass line! Why does the awesome bassist only get a few seconds of camera time and no close-ups? He's amazing!

  • Who give a shit about his hair?

    I'm into the song.

Oh yeah, is it the guitarist (Brown) who came from "The Left Banke?"

    Peace.

    Rock

  • It's Guess Who's Coming to Dinner: The Song!

  • Comment removed

  • I guarantnee that singer is bald now.

  • @Bopalena Perhaps, but his voice more than makes up for it. C'mon now!

  • @Synthesist777 - He should come to Morey's Wig & Rug Shop in Queens where no prices are lower prices than Morey's! Tired of hairpieces that come off at the wrong moment? Morey's wigs don't come off! 12345 Queens Blvd. right near the crack house!

  • @Bopalena Nice to know where to go. Thanx! :)

  • @Bopalena Most guys went bald or thinned dramatically before modern cosmetic enhancements and Hair Club for men!

  • @MrKgbronx12

    It was good! lol

  • hey winkydee- that's because bass players are just some friend they had to let in the band cause they didn't want him to feel bad

  • @clntnlwrnc yeah, I could see that easily.

  • I always thought this was rod stewart that sang this

  • @clntnlwrnc me too

  • Brilliant fucking song!

  • Fucking Direcotrs!!!! Did anyone else see the bassist for more than 10 seconds?

  • @winkydee he's the one wailing away, kenny aronson. spelled wrong

  • @winkydee the bass player wasn't part of the band he was for this specific performance....Ian Lloyd the lead singer was the bands actual bassist....does kinda suck that the dude doesn't get any credit...but I would imagine that's why he is not shown in close up

  • @winkydee The Bass player is the great Kenny Aaronson

  • This is like where the Black Crows got some of thier style....good stuff...

  • Hot Chocolate every time! No competition.

  • The lead singer sounds like Rod Stewart.

  • @TheDisco76 The lead singer was sucking Rod Stewarts cock for two months before he recorded this awful tune, thats why he sounds so much like him.

  • @yourdickis2limp Fuck you bitch, both Rod and this singer kick ass!

  • @cheapcape Did you know your mother and father once blew Rod Stewart and they both swallowed his scrotum sauce?

  • Always love the double meaning of:

"ain't no difference if you're black or white

brothers, you know what I mean"

  • I would have liked a camera shot on the bassist who was laying down cool groove.

  • @TheStoogified No kidding. That bassist is laying it down. I am a bassist and would loved to have seen him to help me learn this song. Damned good groove.

  • @lawdog1301 This is a live presentation. Do you know if on the real track was Ian Lloyd who sing and play the bass?
