This is a breathe of fresh air compared to Avril's pitchy cover. Coldplay's mindfuck song deserved something better than Avril anyway. Punk rock and Alternative rock don't mix. Avril is used to singing about getting drunk and partying. Just isn't a good fit like this is. <3

It's such a shame most female covers are slowed down downbeat simpler versions of the original. Birdy, lindsay ell, that new butchered version of the calling song. Ah gosh, I'm probably going to get flamed but I really don't like this version... I think the girl has a fabulous voice, but I don't like the way she deviated from the main melody (not to mention the TIMING!) at all - I actually found it painful to listen to. Each to their own of course...but this just seems like too much showmanship for a 'wow' factor and no feeling. Coldplay's way is just simple and that effect in itself is haunting...I don't think anyone could top that :/
