@laet1974 The little pearls are fine, they don't bother me at all, but the fimo can be a bit strange at first.............I put 2 layers of topcoat over it then it doesn't catch, and make sure you curve it over the nail by pressing it down well too :)

Do you ever reuse fimo and rhinestones or anything?

@haela24 I tried it once but they had topcoat on the top of them, and the polish I used as the base colour under them, and it was such a hassle trying to pick it all off I gave up. It's totally not worth it in my opinion, unless they're rare, or quite big (it's easier to clean them if they're over 3mm).

As for fimo it can be easily stained by the polish so I just chuck it out :)

@tommygal1974 I stick the fimo with top coat, some ppl use glue but I've never done that....to pick up the fimo I used a toothpick with some sticky tac/blu tac on the end of it, and the brush is the smallest brush available from the art store :)

Although, honestly, I have to say I do rather like seeing BOTH designs at once. I'm big on mixing up several different nail looks at once. It's great to play off a theme, if you can think of lots of variations. Keeps things always interesting!

I also like the blue latticed french manicure. It looks like a spiffy, yet everyday sort of nail design that would be easy to live with.

(Sometimes I overdo my nail designs, and find it annoying if the colors don't go with my outfits all week. That's why blues are so great. You can always wear jeans and look smashing!)

I was originally going to do the lattice on this design actually, but decided the swirls looked much better. If you like mixing up lots of looks at once, then you need to watch my next tutorial next week - 3 different looks making up one design :D

Another beautiful design! I'm anxious to try the fimo -- does it stay put? It seems like it would pop off if you catch it on something. Does a good topcoat keep it in place? Thanks for sharing!

@miabelle1967 Hiya, the trick with fimo (in my opinion) is to stick it down properly so that it kinda curves over the nail. If you just leave it flat on the nail it'll catch on everything and pop off, so I try to stick it down really well on both sides - you can see that in my 'Daisies in a field' tutorial.

Stick it with topcoat, then add topcoat as usual on top (maybe 2 layers) and it should be fine....until you're bored 3 days later and sit there picking it off your nails that is, lol

@lolabell209 Umm....actually, I was just practising, lol. I was practising doing stripes with a striper polish, its just a white french tip with blue diagonal stripes over it.

But I might be using it in the future as the base of a design cause its a nice look, so stay tuned :)

Completely beautiful! I've been looking for more blue designs. And I LOVE the pearls!  So feminine. I would like to see pearls used more often. Plus, I'm a sucker for swirls in any design. And that fimo flower really set it off perfectly.
