Seems like you were just a seasonal hire... Let me tell you this. You probably really sucked when they were trying to train you and what not. When it got closer to holiday season and it gets busy... They don't wanna baby you when the other employees have other people to help. So that's probably why you didn't work. Cause you sucked at the job. By the way. Store managers are on Salary pay so it doesn't matter how many hours they work ,dumb ass.

back in the day Gamestop was a pretty decent company but then they decided to be greedy and price gouge everyone. the stores around where I live are decent yet it still is a massive ordeal to check out of one. i told them i wanted to pre-order Operation Raccoon City and they guy kept trying to get me to pre-order RE6 too when its still like 9 months away and could possibly even be delayed who knows so im like "No thanks, ill just wait" and the guy still tried to convince me im just like -____-

Hello, I used to work for gamestop in 2003. I listened to your entire rant and I agree with everything you said except one part. The managers dont get paid for 50 hours of work because they are salary. They are getting screwed as well, its the corporate scumbags who do this to save a buck. They eventually come up with ways to fire everyone. They fired me but not before I got them to get me an e3 2005 ticket. everyone who can should buy from amazon its cheaper, your games are guaranteed unopened

I've only been into one good GameStop and they closed that one down. If I had to go into the other one, I would tell them right off the bat I don't want any thing extra, just what I'm buying and they would get pissed off. The worst was when I went into make a purchase and they guy at the counter decided to talk on the phone and not say a word to me and then his co-worker decided to wonder around on his cell phone without a word but hello. Left and didn't give them any money.

@NexGenStriker This reminds me when used to work for Discovery Channel Store,I would only get only 8hrs a week or not hours at all,Only there favorites got more then 16hrs a week,Which I didnt think it was fair,And I did complain about it.The manager said that I wasnt selling alot of product which one of reasons I wasnt getting alot of hours,For 2 months,I two months,I sold more then anybody in the store and still give me 8hrs a week,It like why even keep me on.Yea I feel your pain.

they really are. my brother try to work their they say that he was young. he's 16 and close to graguating. he is a 4.0 gpa student. also they are rip off. I hate selling games to them. I got them back by giving the same game that they game me for 59 dollors that didin't work and i game them a game that didn't work either. i got my equal amount of money back by giving them trash LOL
