There were 1000 seats in the room...all were full. Plus 100-200 standing around the perimeter of the room. The count I heard from the campaign was 1000. The Des Moines Register published it as 'over 600.' The seats for the tax forum were the same, 1000, but they had several hundred empty seats. The Register reported they had 'more than 600.'
