  • What if I don't want to go out and buy an Apple product just to store my bullion?

  • Something tells me that you like apple?

  • I have a great idea for storing precious metals if you own your own land / home or know someone who does. Simply bury it, and plant a bush on top of it. Anyone asks why your digging a hole, say planting a bush - rose, peony, or whatever. Also, very easy to tell if anyone has meddled with your trove. Need access to it, simply dig it up.

  • I store my silver in the watch pocket of my jeans. I have a one ounce Canadian grizzly.

  • @luckydoug What do you think of those new moose coins? I don't really like them but I'll still get a few.

  • Given the latest MF Global / CME scam where they stole money from personal accounts, I would never store anything in a bank safety deposit box. Just like with MF Global, it wouldn't surprise me if banks (loan sharks and deceivers) have a hidden clause in the paperwork that says they own your account's assets.

  • ee

  • What is your policy on double windsor knots?

  • @kylesteinhauser They are awesome!

  • Goods in safe deposit boxes are not insured, if there was a bank run, and bankruptcy then look at the news lately...when a bank goes bankrupt its assets are taken over but that means they get to look after your stuff..more worrying would be a bank raid and stealing your stuff because unless you nhave a private safe deposit box with insurance you lose the lot...better to buy some things that if the world went tits up would be in demand, copper wire, tools, etc...more in need then shiney metal

  • Do not keep your gold, silver, precious metals in a bank!! TAKE IT OUT!!

Ignore what yaahme below says, research the findings of why it's best not to store it in banks.

  • Dude r u kidding? in a financial fail, world wide economies, moneyitself could potentially turn to shit pronto! your physical wealth will be the only real wealth, paper money just becomes paper. Anarchy, distrust, respect for life goes down the toilet, when its a fight for survival. Chaos prevails. men become animals, TRUST, u will never get to your assets, when your life becomes priority. The bank manager will look after your trust- dont worry

  • Low-class fat knot on tie: what are you? a realtor? a footballer? You're out of fashion, pal... now ties are narrow.

  • @ytrogergt If you follow investment trends like you do fashion trend you'll always be behind. I don't follow fashion, I make fashion. See ya around follower.

  • @ASilversVoice ...... Nice reply... so you're a nice guy I guess

  • @ASilversVoice hey bro , dont listen to him , i'm in a french canadian and in my private highschool we all wear tie like you (sorry for my bad english) ps: where do you buy canadian maple and moose ? i really want to start buying silver

  • @MyLineageII Most local coin shops should have bullion for sale. If not, they should be able to tell you where to get some. In Canada, you can walk into any ScotiaBank and order some for yourself.

  • @ASilversVoice ho lol , i posted my comment before the video finish :P

  • Can the knot in the tie get any bigger?

  • A bank run is about getting your money out of a bank that is collapsing, but the stuff that you have in their safe is yours right? it's not theirs, you didn't lend it to them, you probably didn't tell them what you put into it, so how can they lend it out?

  • I'm a banker, please, store all of your valuables in the secure safe easy to use deposit boxes. You can trust the government and my fellow bankers. Ignore all reports of confiscation in their various forms as nothing has ever been removed from these that were not deemed appropriate ;)

  • This Dom Jolly guy is interesting. So your saying store in ipod case? So if someone steals an ipod they have got a very expensive ipod lol.

  • Coincidence?

    I think not . . .

    C

  • i have a idea to keep your silver safe maby a new invention called a safe wow im a geanius

  • Thanks for the quick reply bud. Yes, I am Canadian, it's the only way to be :)

So I infer from what you're saying here. that in the event of a bank run it's a total shut down, i can't get into my safe deposit box either? Hmmmm.... Do you know of any bullion storage facilities in Alberta by chance, safer way to go I reckon...

  • @ryansimpsoncanada Where are you from in Alberta? There are a few places in/near Edmonton,..all depends on how much you have, and how close you want to be to it

  • hey man, do you know what the policy is rearding your safe deposit box in the event of a bank run? I plan to buy some pm's and was thinking safe deposit box, but I don't know how easy it would be to access in the event of a bank run....

  • @ryansimpsoncanada If a bank run happens the banks will be closed pretty quick. I live in Canada and it looks like you do to. I feel if anything bad will happen it will happen in the USA first, there should be a window of time to get anything I need out. ... I could be wrong, but it's a rick i'm taking

  • Cool video. Check out the 20-bar bullion containers from Air Tite. Just run a Google for Air Tite Holders and you can order directly from the manufacturers websites. They have individual holders and 20 round holders too.

  • WTF happened to your tie?

  • Were are you from ?

  • @dennie6666 I'm from Nova Scotia, Canada

  • @ASilversVoice

Good man. So I am. Whereabouts?

Also, do you save much silver coins... I have been thinking about doing this approach as oppose to bars.

after watching this video ... watch?v=9ZqD7ZkLkFY&feature=related

...It would be great if we could hear your perspective... thanks!

  • I hear APMEX takes too long to ship orders. is this true and why. How long should someone expect to wait to have their order shipped? They're the only company really that I know is legit, but their alleged shipping practices give me pause.

  • @Breal191 Check out ProvidentMetals. Very dependable and cheaper and faster shipping than APMEX.

  • Massive windsor knot.

  • i read and i have seen with my own eyes, on some of my own silver coins, that certain type of plastic holders or sleeves will cause the coin to take on a different look, like a film cover on the coin itself. i even tried to clean it afterwards, does not come off. especailly if stored like that for years.

  • i would not trust anyone with my PM's, especially not a bank. Your gov. not a problem, probably, but how do you know for sure that you can trust them not to confiscate your pm's?

  • The tie, make it smaller.

You look like a shifty door-to-door salesman.

  • never us plastics.

  • @Rico8458 - why is plastic bad?

  • Keep stackin silver, but if you aint got Jesus you will be stackin it in hell with Satan.

  • in 1933 when FDR confiscated the gold he said no one could open their box unless it was in the presence of an IRS agent....If you think they are going to let you keep your precious.....think twice....risky at best...I wouldnt do it

  • I think you should keep half in the bank and half hidden in the house either buried in the ground or create a piece of funiture and conceals the silver.Ex sample in the of the funiture or hollow out a heavy rock.Thiefs don't like to lift heavy things and your woman will also be unable to lift something as heavy as you can.

  • Why not keep it in safe or hidden at home ? I do because it cuts out the 3rd party risk. Please consider splitting your silver in at least 2 places, safer that way a little chabce of losing everything, even if the bank decalres a holiday while they empty the boxes!

Your ties are good as are the sunglasses. ignore the critics and keep up the good work.

  • @dowhatuwill Here is why I don't like home safes. If someone breaks in while you are not home....finds a locked safe that they can't open or remove from your house....there is a good chance they will wait there till you come home and then put a gun to your head and say open it or die.....and then they may well kill you anyway. Where as with a good hiding place...they may never find it and if they do they will just take the coins and split

  • @inkey2 Good point and not one I have not thought about. My preference is for the safe itself to be hidden as well. Maybe in a locked cupboard or behind a false wall etc.

  • @dowhatuwill just thought of this.....I had an uncle, during the last gold and silver rush in the late 70s (early 80s)......he actually plastered them into his basement wall and painter over the new plaster. Not a "convenient" place to hide them but a good place to hide them

  • @inkey2 Sure on one would think to look there! Not ideal when you want to add stock or sell but showed imagination, which is what you need when concealing your treasure.

  • I hide all my silver coins in the bottom of my clothes hamper and throw all my shitty underwear on top of it......nobody will look there

  • @inkey2 - where do you live? I will bring gas mask and latex gloves...lol - just kidding. I read a pro-burglar article, the interviewed burglar was talking... and saying where he would look to find hidden treasures when breaking in. And that was actually one of the first place. burglars would not care about the stuff on your underwear...

  • @3blenders here's the thing.....burgulars who are any good at their trade know they have like 10 minutes "tops" to get in and out if they dont want to be wearing an orange jump suit for 5 years. The real pros head straight for the master bedroom and go through the drawers looking for cash and jewelry....and hit all the "obvious" places. Do you have any idea how heavy "silver" is in quantity? It weighs "hundreds of pounds". You would need a fork lift to steal $50,000 in silver coins

  • @inkey2 lol..50k silver coins weigh about 60 pounds...

  • DAMN, SUNGLASSES! YOU SCARY!

  • Your tie knot's way too big, it's out of all proportion to the shirt collar and it makes you look like some realtor or phoney salesman. Small knots are the ones to go for!

  • During the great depression congress passed a law forbidding anyone from owning gold. Robbing the public of the little wealth they had.

Best to buy it unregistered and away from banks and government institutions.

Above all, remember the golden rule of the Bible, "tithe and you shall become wealthy."

    A personal promise from G-d.

    Good luck

  • if the dollar fails and it takes the govermment many months to figure out that they need to switch to using gold and silver certificates, because all the politicians in washingtons are a bunch of rasin brains. so then you don't have your silver for that time.

  • nice tie, great video!

  • You look just like my friend will ha you have a twin out there lol great video!

  • Sunglasses inside.... Please what are you trying to pull off? You look like Neo from Matrix but you're more nerdy.

  • Mine: Crown Royle bags, in small safes, then in a fireproof gun locker.

  • Storing it at the bank? Ummmm, yeah that's a strange thing to do considering the idea that having silver and gold is partly in preparation for the banking system collapse. I'd just buy a safe and bolt it in.

  • I just got my first shipment of silver today, should I keep it in that plastic it comes in or take it out and keep it in something else?

  • @8to1fav just try not to touch it. Touching it causes it to tarnish quicker

  • Do you play poker?

  • what a great idea! I need to start getting those casses!

  • I'd go with a pelican storm case.

  • @Paladine71 me too, a 1450 or 1510 is perfect for storing Ag, ipod case looks like joke in front of pelican

  • Nice shades.

  • If you don't have the silver in your possession right now, but you do plan on investing please visit my YouTube Channel, not only can you purchase silver at the actual value, but you can store it for nothing in Swiss vaults. I know this sounds preposterous, but it's fact, not fiction, not only that, but you can also buy, gold bullion that is internationally recognized, in small increments (half, and full grams) card, with a hologram, and serial number, and no I'm not smokin' Ganja either!

  • @DaveZany We want to HOLD it in our selfish little hands, not store it unseen in some faraway vault! LOL

  • I dont trust the banks.... your better off hiding it somewhere. Bury it somewhere safe. I know canada may not have the patriot act but just to be safe. i would be interested in becoming a sales rep for apmex, any advice on how to do that?

  • I dont trust the banks.... your better off hiding it somewhere. Bury it somewhere safe. I know canada may not have the patriot act but just to be safe.

  • Lol safety deposit box sounds like the worst idea ever to me, i would never use one... just bury that shit in a hermatically sealed container

  • What kind of sunglasses are those? I like them.

  • Keeping anything in a safety deposit box is a mistake unless you live in a real bad neighborhood. First off, they charge you. Two, they are sloppy with security..master keys etc. Third, and most important...should the bank be robbed or your items are missing for any reason...you are completely out of luck. They guarantee nothing because they will argue that they have no idea what you have in there. They have no liability at all...period.

  • wait so like u answer the phones for orders or u work for APMEX or what? if u do then u live in oklahoma then i can take ur silver, just kidding:) APMEX rocks!!!!!!!!!!, 90% of my precious metals comes from APMEX.

  • I have read the Safety Boxes rules for TD in Canada. It is against the rules to put Legal Tender in them. That includes your silver coins and any Maples you have in there. Check and see. They can use that as an excuse to steal your silver.

  • Greg McCoach has a you-tube where he discusses storage. He states in that video that in the Patriot Act, any precious metals that the gov finds in safety deposit boxes is theirs.

  • @Jrandom37 I live in Canada. Those rule do not apply here.

  • @Jrandom37 That is true, I spoke to gentleman who was the head of homeland security in X state and he told me for any reason the government has the right to take anything you may have in a safe deposit box no warrant needed( under the patriot act). To the guy in the video your tie is horrible

  • In Melbourne Australia there was a story in the paper of a guy who held Gold at a deposit box at a local ANZ bank (big bank here). The branch moved and his Gold was lost in transit.....? He had to prove via paper documents that he had actually purchased the metal........someone took his metal!

  • reasons not to keep in bank.

    1. its an extra needless bill.

    2. small banks have been shut at random, and can you trust big or any bank these days? and when they shut you dont learn about them till about 8pm fri nights.

    3. because of 2 your silver is not at your finger tips and at their mercy.

  • i would not keep your silver at the bank. i keep mine in a small safe, locked inside my gun safe

  • wow, those ipod cases seem perfect for coin storage.

Oh, you are a sales rep for APMEX, maybe we have spoken by phone before, I have made several transactions with them, (buying & selling)

  • The Bank holiday will occure in the middle of the night, the bank won't open in the morning and you won't get access to your silver.

  • Whats with the sunglasses?

  • creative lol :)

  • Silver since 70's - friends also - bullion only? rounds barter better, when collapse comes banks down 1 mo or more, took "kids" play room, in that closet 2 holes up from basement 4 HEAVY bolts into bottom of ol metal military trunk painted kiddy bright, inside 2 fire safes held in by same bolts, trunk heavy locks.NOT an obvious place to store, 5 TIMES USA currency collapsed!!! will occur again, only value worth invest is pure silver alone - next time Gld & Sil will be confiscated - hide yours!

  • GoldSilver dotcom Brink's Salt Lake City

  • Good video. There is something called a bank holiday and there may not be any warning before it happens. I trust myself and my safe rather than any bank for storing silver.

  • loose quarters fit very nicely into the plastic tubes that the M&M mini candies come in. take a walk down the candy isle and check out the different packaging that is very useful for collecting.

  • I can't imagine how cool it must be to work at APMEX. Good idea about the storage cases. :) Perhaps I'm a bit paranoid but honestly, I'd never store my PMs at any bank. I think its a huge risk you're taking because you're unnecessarily placing more of your financial security into the hands of others. Specifically, institutions that poorly manage their own holdings. Invest in a good safe ;)

  • where do you get your cases? I know where to get silver.

  • @sampainter When people I know get new ipods I ask for the cases. Last Christmas I got over 10.

  • Just buy 20 at a time and they are already stored in tubes.

  • Yes, I agree with those who say it's not a good idea to keep your bullion in a safety deposit box at a bank. The problem is that it's not fully under your control. That bank can shut down for whatever reason and you may not be able to access your box. True, that scenario is unlikely, but we're head for a major economic crisis and who knows how that's going to play out. I recommend keeping your bullion on your premises in a creative hiding spot that you only you would know.

  • you work for Apmex? Haha, I thought you were gonna say you worked for apple :D

  • I love APMEX! I bought almost all of my gold & silver from APMEX. I highly recommend it to everyone.

  • I feel putting any trust in a Bank is misguided. I may be wrong, i guess time will tell.

  • Apple shares would be worth more than berkshire hathaway shares if i stored my silver in thos cases and thanx to my love of ipod cases the economic crisis would be over and i would have no need for the silver anymore and that would be hela ironic and i would be quite the pissed lol. but thats a pirtty cool idea and i have often held the cases and thought these are to cool to throw away lol.

    subed.

Personally, I wouldn't keep my silver/gold or anything of value in a safety deposit box at a bank.
