  • gotta love the Italian hardstyles.

  • A jumpstyle kick is a flat 909 usually... what the fuck are you all on about?

  • where r my glo-stix

  • Omg Jumpstyle Kick. XD

    Still<3Zatox.

  • @DJxVALOR Jumpstyle kick?!?!? lol you have no idea what you are talking about. That my friend is a thunderous banging reverse bassline. Jumpstyle lol. This is REAL hardstyle.

  • @johnmclane101

As long as we're being friendly...

That's all a hardstyle kick is, is a distorted, heavy jumpstyle kick.

This is heavy, but not nearly distorted enough (Normally distorted by frequency band, I've recently learned)

Yes, it is real hardstyle. IMO jumpstyle is hardstyle, just happy.

This is not happy. It's hard. Yes, it's hardstyle, and holy crap, that's the jumpiest jumpstyle kick I've ever heard. XD

  • @DJxVALOR Erm, not really. If you wanna compare it to anything. You can compare it to a distorted old skool hardcore kick as old skool hardcore started in the early 90's and jumpstyle started in the late 90's. A lot of hardstyle is happy these days but it is unofficially titled nu style. Jumpstyle is a different tempo and different stylistically from hardstyle.

  • @johnmclane101

Don't limit comparisons by time frame =\

The old Harcore kick was distorted beyond all reason.

And Nu Style is really generally happy, but came around when Hardstyle went softer, anticlimaxes tended to leave, and producers became sellouts (Which is why it can be used as a derogatory term).

I'm saying in the actual production of a kick, I can make a jumpstyle kick in about 2 minutes. To distort it to get to modern hardstyle, it would take a lot longer, because of huge distortion.

  • @DJxVALOR The reason i am comparing it was because hardcore came first and if you are gonna base it on anything its prudent to base it on how it started. Old Skool hardstyle began in late 1999 and it is a well known fact that its influences are taken from hardcore and hard trance. Type in The Scotchman "happy vibes" Thats from the early 90's and its quite apparent that these type of kicks and early hardstyle kicks are of similar impact and build and there is definite influence there.

  • @johnmclane101

Well yeah, I understand where the influences came from. But the build itself is exactly like a modern jumpstyle kick. And I mean exactly.

I can see how you're comparing though, and I tend to agree. But by today's standards, I would have to classify it as a Hard Jump before Hardstyle.

  • @DJxVALOR shut up

  • I find the vocals... rather bothersome in this track. The rhythm is still epic.
