You do realize that Wal-Mart (which is not exactly accurate, but nobody cares about that), did drop the case about 3 days after this video posted. They did EXACTLY as described...follow procedure, and listen to people when they speak up, and in exceptional cases show compassion and "do the right thing."

Sometimes doing the right thing isn't so obvious.

A lot of people forget that Sam Walton made sure that Wal-Mart carried as many products labeled "Made in America" as was possible. It was even a big selling point for his "Sam's Choice" brand products. He ran a commercial for a while where he asked the viewer to look for the USA label. A lot of things changed after he died in 1992.

I'm sick and tired of hearing people bitch about their wages and working conditions after having mentioned being an associate for years on end. Put in a little effort for once and find a better career. I got my bachelors degree in 3 years, paid for the entire thing while working full time and attending school and continue to trade up my place of employment anytime someone that is willing to offer better compensation comes along. I can testify that Wal-Mart NEVER does the right thing for their associates. I worked for them for 16 years. I was continuously passed over for promotion in favor of new hires for more desirable jobs, because I had topped out in their logistics division pay scale. Then last June of 2009, I was told that my job was being eliminated so a contractor could do it. All I was offered was starting over again out on the floor, or dumping trash cans all day. So much for my 16 years of loyalty.

I am glad that I get to go in every night and get timed by a "task management" system that gives me an unrealistic quota to maintain as far as putting freight on the shelf.

I am glad that I get to cashier, push carts, scan and bin merchandise, when I was originally hired for stocking shelves.

I am glad that my wages have been capped and that my hours have been reduced to practically part time.

I love my job!
