You need to work on your history a li'l. Tight jeans didn't come from skateboard culture. The skateboarders didn't have a convention & put pants on the plenary session agenda. Tight jeans emerged from European fashion trends that made their way to New York & LA. It was the scene/emo kids that protracted the fad. The music taste of those kids was strictly incidental.
