  • Thanks to great Canadian Beer I have had a snootful many times in Toronto many times but never a pot full or a pot of gold.

  • This NEVER gets old. I've seen the original and the sentiment is right on target. I am a Canadian Maritimer and there are still lots of guys like these two who still have these dreams. I have known and still know several. Thanks for the posting.

  • Poor Gord and Garth...They never even got their potfulls! I have been to toronto also. I never found the rainbow or my potfull either!

  • @tripacer66 I also don't have a job in Toronto. -_-

  • classic tv..stopin tom a canadian god..jasper ave in oil town sucks ass.like most money hungry edmontonians..now bc is were canadas gods country is..

  • I love it at the end..."Jobs, jobs, jobs!"

  • LOL! Gotta love the 8 track tapes on the dashboard!!

  • "Doctoring jobs and lawyering jobs, jobs for me and you!" After seeing this classic parody I had to find a copy of "Goin Down The Road." It took some doing, but fortunately I was able to find one.

  • There's a rainbow in Toronto where the maritimers are bold. They always get a potfull-but they never get a pot of gold.

I love John Candy with his goofy Pete McGraw grin.

  • I haven't seen that in over 20 years. Ah Yonge St in the early eighties!

    "it's dead.... OOOOOOOAAAAAAAH"

It was nice to see a glimpse of "the mistake by the lake"... Exhibition Stadium

    Thanks for posting

  • @Rebelrider2460 Where was the glimpse of Exhibition Stadium? I missed it.

  • @ter521fad You can find the "Mistake by the Lake" at the end on 11:18 to the left of the screen...It looks like a parking structure. My guess is the camera was situated on the western most bridge linking the CNE with Ontario place. The car is driving west-bound on Lakeshore Blvd.

  • Wow, that was really filmed at the Maritime General Hospital too!

  • Classic. A film by Canadians for Canadians produced by Americans. I live in Toronto, and Yonge St. has changed a lot since then but Yonge St. is still Yonge St.

  • those 12 mins contain more laughs than every adam sandler picture.

  • I had no idea until today that this was a parody of an actual Canadian movie (Goin' Down the Road - 1970). I had always that it was more or less a send-up of typical Canadian films

Thank so much for sharing this! Such a great bit.

  • You just hit a woodchuck and you knocked him for a loop!

  • one of my favorite skits of all time

  • What's life all abeut? LOL! I love this classic!
