Why the hell didnt AIC choose phill anselmo for the new AIC .same kinda lifestyle both from the end of the glam era & with simmilar singing, range &lyrical content. the new singer i have nothing against but its not AIC and never will be. i dont think can bring anything to them / just recite there old stuff in a karioke like fassion. so again phill can bring some new songs to them as well as bring alive there old stuff and maybe revive / evolve some good music.

I saw them at Great Woods (excuse me now Tweeter Center) in MA. I don't think Duvall is the "new singer" he was just touring with them on that tour. I think he has balls, those are big shoes to fill. He actually pulled off the vocals good live. Let's face the truth, in Layne's final years Alice in Chains did nothing because he was too fucked up to contribute to the band. RIP LS.

Jerry Cantrell was the mastermind behind every Alice in Chains record. Although Laynes voice had that insane presence, Cantrell wrote everything so... if he wants to bring the fans a tour with a temporary singer so be it... it's his music.

if layne was still alive I would agree with you completely, but you know what, as much as I love Layne's voice, he isn't here anymore and it is by his own accord. A true fan would appreciate what they are doing to give us AIC music live again. This show had all of Layne's family there and they spoke before the concert and they fully support what the guys are doing. Now if they try and record new material with Will and call it AIC then all of us "true fans" would be offended.
