It's an insult to the genius of Michel Petrucciani to label this as "smooth jazz"'... you won't hear solos like this very often on "smooth jazz" stations unless they are playing something like Paul Desmond's "Take Five" for the 10th time that day. Petrucciani was a serious jazz artist with awesome chops who could hold his own with ANYone. I feel blessed to have seen him play live.

You dont know anything about music, this song is SMOOTH JAZZ, and is not an insult in smooth jazz we got solos like Bob Baldwin, Bob James, Jeff Lorber...great saxophonists like Grover washington Jr, Eric Darius, Gerald Albright...etc....if you dunno shit about music dont talk

I should have seen him in Villeparisis (25,000 people city close to Paris) in early 1999, we learnt he cancelled just a few minutes before the beginning of the show, because of his illness...

A few weeks later, he was gone...

He still lives toward his music, with a little help from by beloved Anthony Jackson on 6-string contrabass guitar...
