So...the drummer is Peter "James" Bond? Thats clearly not "Stumpy Joe" and it aint Mick Shrimpton either. SO THTS WHAT PETER BOND LOOKS LIKE!!! RIGHT??? I'm doing a class project on Spinal Tap and I'm trying to get pics of every STap member I can. So I'm assuming that thats right. RIGHT??!!
This is great, and a riposte to think that "This is Spinal Tap" ripped off the 1983 short "Bad News". It spoofs The Midnight Special TV show, which was hosted by radio disc jockey Wolfman Jack (from a time when rock radio had actual personalities on air - sigh), who Rob Reiner impersonates quite well. The band, of course, totally rocks. Why wasn't this included as a DVD extra?
This is the rock n roll creation. The terrible big bang. An absolute sensation. Yin was searching for his yang. And I looked and I saw that it was good. Tap fucking rules. Period.
I AGREE. I DIDN'T KNOW THIS EXISTED. SOME DON'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT THE 20 MINUTE SCREEN TEST VERSION OF "THIS IS...", WHERE THE WIGS AND THE KEYBOARDIST ARE DIFFERENT, AND A YOUNG REBECCA DE MORNAY PLAYS A GROUPIE. I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE HOW DEEP THE STORIES GO, ABOUT A BAND THAT NEVER EVEN EXISTED, THOUGH I AGREE WITH MANY, THAT THEY EVENTUALLY BECAME REAL, THROUGH WRITING AND PLAYING. VIVA LA TAP!!!
That's Rob Reiner playing Wolfman Jack.

Wow what an amazing piece of history. I understand Loudon Wainwright III is the keyboardist!
