  • This is the last daytime GOLDEN ROAD WIN, we haven't had a win SINCE.

  • u know what he won was $91,000 with that motorhome

  • Sadly, this was the last time Golden Road was won on daytime. There was a win on the MDS in 2008, but Drew STILL has yet to crown a Golden Road winner on daytime.

  • This is WHY Bob Barker is the greatest!

  • how does he get all the stuff home?

  • GODDAMMMMMMNNNN! $80,000 for a motorhome!

  • I hate that they don't set up the other two models outside the doors before the last prize is revealed with the other model inside .I miss that..it added to the excitement and importance of the prize..

  • the suspense before seeing the very expensive prize and the music made Golden Road my favorite game, though I didn't see it too often.

  • The reason they always have "something wonderful" at the end of the Golden Road is because the game is hardest one they have damn near impossible to win.

  • @smzig And the ones in Drew's era say "prestige". Premium European motorcars = Golden Road Cars.

  • Rich FIELDS is HOT!!!!!!!!!!

  • can of beans, lol lol

  • please bring back bob

  • the can of beans was meijer brand... meijer's only in 5 states in the midwest: michigan, ohio, illinios, indiana and kentucky, and nowhere near california... just sayin'

  • your knowledge of canned goods intrigues me.......impressive, most impressive

  • Bob Barker was the master at this. Awesome articulation, timing, and build up of suspense. Just fantastic.

  • He's uber jolly

  • I would be epically dissapointed if it was an RV (especially with the price of oil nowadays)

  • Over $80,000 in price!!!!!

The Golden Road is THE most epic pricing game/event in the Price is Right, EVER!!!!

  • Has anyone ever won in Golden Road besides this time?

  • probably the best game on the Price is Right. I also like Triple Play

  • @rm1jagfan

    I totally agree...on both counts

  • HAHA, whatever dude.

  • man bob was awesome, I miss this show so much

  • Wasn't very nice to bid $1 over the previous bidder to get up on stage.

  • thats why I apologized to Cody right before I bid $1 dollar over him. I saw the Golden Road set up when we entered the studio, so I knew that was the first game- and I wanted to be in that game! It wasnt looked at as being not nice, me and Cody got along great after the show ended.

  • how is the motor home anyway?

  • would u be upset if he bid 1850. its a game.y get upsetit is just a number would u prefer if the person overbid

  • I just watched this again. Devon did bid 1801 over Cody's bid of 1800. BUT! Cody bid 1800 which did the same thing to the first lady's bid of 1799. Cody can't complain about Devon because Cody did the same thing.

  • If I'm right, this was the last time Golden Road was won with Bob as host. It was played two or three more times after this but not won; and thus far has not been won in the Drew era.

  • Not until the most recent primetime special... the lady won an $87,000 Viper! But she ended up spinning the Big Wheel second in the Showcase Showdown... I wonder why? ;-)

  • That was because they had a $1 Million winner in the clock game. Probably the only time you'll ever see a Golden Road winner not go last on the wheel.

  • I knew that. It was a rhetorical question. :-P

The Clock Game was a good candidate for the $1,000,000 game (unlike Safe Crackers or the Range Game), because the contestant doesn't have to risk their prizes for an attempt at it, or make a damn-near-impossible guess. (Exact price in the Range Game? C'mon.) Wonder what they'll try next?

  • Exact Price in Range Game must have been a poke at Power of 10. Also hosted, by Drew Carey. And come on, winning Power of 10 for $10,000,000 is easier than an exact guess for Range Game.

  • probably one of the better moments ever on this show LOL

  • This guy won $91,366 in prizes.

  • Ah I'm backreading and see that Devon dropped by! Your show is going to be rerun this Monday 9/17. I hope you get this in time so you could get yourself another copy(and I'm sure you want a backup to put in your safe lol)...I know I would if I was you!

  • Devon actually posted his own video after the fact...his usernname is sacdevo79. Youtube won't allow links, so the link I have won't work here

  • It's the most expensive prize a guy has won in this season. Usually the girls go on stage a lot and always win big.

  • That's a Yamaha Phaser smowmobile... but while they were showing it, did anyone notice that they used the musical piece which is actually named "Phaser"?

  • Just one question everybody wants to know.

    Were those beans good???

  • Those beans weren't awarded as a prize. They get the first two numbers to choose from, from the price of the two-digit grocery item. Usually very easy.

But on TNPiR '94 with Doug Davidson, there would be a two-digit small prize (or a fishbowl of cash) in its place, which WAS awarded.

  • 26 weeks, LOL...and yeah, what did David Hirsch (Clark's successor) ever do after that?

  • Devon was so adorable!

  • wow, $91,366 total. wtg devon!

  • wow lucky guy. Bob just needs to do something special for America...one more time whether it be related to the show or not...

  • thanks for posting my big win. that was a fun day =)

  • Congrats! That's awesome... you are such a nice guy.

  • I prefered Bob barker coming in from the crowd rather then those big doors.

  • Wow! What a game! Does anybody know of any other amazing Golden Road videos? I must know!

  • Golden Road has been the most toughest pricing game ever made on "The Price Is Right". It was based on a parody to "The Wizard of Oz" called the "Yellow Brick Road", you mean "Follow the Yellow Brick Road"? I'm sure that there was no Dorothy in it. The prize sound effect where a harp plays sounded similar to the curtain and door numbers where it opens up used on "Let's Make a Deal" with Monty Hall.

  • @HomeoftheGoodGuys On the Halloween 2010 show, Golden Road was called "Golden Brick Road" to tie in with the Wizard Of Oz theme.

And for the Earth Day show, it was "Green Road" featuring the most expensive prize ever offered in TPIR history: a $112,000 Tesla...which, unfortunately, was never won.

  • MDS Wednesday at 8pm and Bob Barker's 50 years on TV combined with TPIR Thursday at 8pm(all times Eastern) on CBS!

  • it might work, but there is no denying that whoever they pick will still have some huge shoes to fill

  • I hope we have a few more Million Dollar Spectaculars before Bob retires. Anybody wanna predict how long the show will go on without him?

  • not long it will never be the same

  • I disagree, the show is so established that it has transcended the host, it can go on and still be successful like other shows have.

  • 1 for Bob's retirement...

And a question, how the heck did "Meijer" get a grocery item put on the show? Last time I checked Meijer was only in the Great Lakes/Ohio Valley Region...maybe they are thinking of going national?

  • When grocery products are featured on the show but the sponsor isn't mentioned, the sponsor hasn't actually paid a fee to be included. For example, when they describe Chips Ahoy as "delicious chocolate chip cookies," they're just using the product... not promoting it.

  • Thanks, I love it!
