I went to Disney World less than two months ago, and the Mad Hatter was only in parades! I was very sad. :C I want to go to Disneyland to see him there and how all the characters act there (in videos, they seem to walk around more freely where in WDW they stay in one place). Too bad California is a six-hour plane ride away from me! DX
Speaking of Disney World guys help me out: I have two choices after I graduate this fall ( from college) where should I go? London, England, or Disney World?
No they are not changing the all they did was fix the roof and second if they were to change it then Alice and the mad hatter would have no reason to be at the parks anymore so all I think they did was fix the roof !!!!
@snipercw1 :O seriously!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I saw a sign like in october saying they were changing it to beauty and the beast and making the ride like with chip or something but I hope your right :)
@melmelmelmelmel12695 were did u hear this because they aren't doing that they are giving them a fresh coat of paint and the roof is being redone other then that nothing happening to them
She did a good job but she acted like a creature from wonderland not the visitor. She should have been all "who threw that? was it the tree? Curioser and curioser!
You cant Really Compare Disney World's Alice and Hatter to the one from Disney Land. No one gives these guys a chance. You always see videos of the ones from Disney land and Barley any from Disney World. Its not far to compare. No one gives them a chance. They are funny at Disney World you just have to give them a chance to be
i met alice in epcot in germany, and i asked her where the white rabbit was and she said "he said he was late to introduce the queen of hearts, and if he's late do you know what will happen?" and i go "IT'S OFF WITH HIS HEAD!!" and she goes "yes! you know the story very well!"
Why would anybody want autographs from animated characters? What purpose does it serve exactly? It annoys me to no end to see characters at WDW getting mobbed by these morons, instead of just romping freely through the park like they seem to do all the time in DL. This just saps the fun and unpredictability out of them.
Most of the people getting autographs seem to be little kids...if you were a little kid wouldn't you want to get an autograph from somebody in a movie? I sure would hope so cuz its fun.
Do you realise how happy this makes people? Seriously. It brings adults back to their childhood days and lets kids just be kids and enjoy. Wouldn't you love to bring your child and or family member joy by letting them live a day of really thinking they are hanging out with the characters of their favorite movie? It used to annoy me also, But I am quite fond of it now. I wish to meet the hatter and get a hug.
It's not that I mind meeting these characters for a picture and hug. It's just that when I watch the characters wandering free and being their unpredictable selves in Disneyland vids, and then look at the WDW ones that are just nothing but breadlines and bottlenecks for stupid autographs. There's just nothing to enjoy anymore, character-watching wise.
you really have to look for characters in disney world period. when i go, it is not uncommon to only see mickey, minney, pluto, goofy and donald walking around the park because they are the main characters. otherwise you only get to see them in shows, parades and if you want to stand in line for an hour, there are meet and greets. it kind of sucks
Wow, it's sad this is considered 'interacting with guests.' I feel bad for characters in WDW; they're always stuck on a leash. Disneyland's characters have a LOT more fun. Oh well, maybe WDW will improve with time. *sigh*
the problem is that WDW is more strict with characters, I actually heard a story that the management showed characters videos of characters from Disneyland & told them NOT to act like that. a bunch of party poopers if u ask me! :C
Disneyland is WAY more strict with characters, actually. WDW doesn't attract much to actors, so they take what they can. Hundreds of people always try to audition in CA, giving Disneyland a larger choice. In WDW, someone may mess up, but they wouldn't be let off immediately because it would take a while to find another person for that character if they left. If someone messes up in Disneyland, they're almost immediately fired because they know how many more people want that job.
Yeah, that does suck but I think it would be difficult for Disney World to have that level of interaction. WDW is so big with so many people after pictures with the characters, that stricter rules for interaction I think are unfortunately necessary. I don't think Disneyland's characters have to deal with quite so many people at once so they can loosen up more
Oh no, I think this is the best Mad Hatter ever!! (and disney land has more than one person playing each role due to the fact that there are 4 parks, roughly 20 hotels, plus downtown disney. they make multiple appearances at a time.) But I think the Disneyland Hatter doesn't get the voice just right. I'll agree, your Alice is better :)
They tend to dissapear for quiet a while, I was in line when I was turned away because they were leaving, this was at about 9am and they weren't returning until about 11.
Do You Remember How You met Alice and Mad Hatter in front of The Tea Cup Ride at The Magic Kingdom?
My Mom and I are going to Disney World to Celebrate My 30th Birthday THIS COMING SEPTEMBER and ACTUALLY, in a Little Over a Few Weeks. I really could use a little Character Finding Help in advice for like How and When to Spot these Characters.
Any Help That You are able to give me is EXTREMLY Appreciated.

Oh come on guys, they're the same at WDW in my experience, you get good and bad actors (and tired one's of course!). It's not that bad, really.
