  • badass!!

  • 5 stars

  • hmmm...interesting choice of notes

  • great job

  • SINGS JUST LIKE BUCK,STEEL GUITAR PLAYER IS ABSOLUTLEY FANTASTIC!

  • would have liked this more if you sang in your own voice.

  • I USED TO HAVE A SHOVEL HANDLE SHOVED UP MY ASS, I LOOKED AND SOUNDED JUST LIKE THESE FELLOWS, BUT MY DOCTOR REMOVED IT, I WISH THE SAME GOOD FORTUNE TO THESE PATHETIC CREATURES.

  • @jehovahuponyou

..... you should have left it up your ass ..... it sounds way better that the sniveling you presently do .....

  • Love it Love it Love it

  • wooooooooooooooooo mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • haunting, I remember waiting for my dad to come home from work, he drove D-8 catepiller in the vast fields in the Central Valley of California....he usually was covered head to toe in dirt but he would hoist me up and we went in time to wash up and watch the Cousin Herb Show from Bakersfield with its star Buck Owens as mom readied Dinner......this sounds very much like it... simple but distinctly early Buck....

  • This Video is just perfect,... You boys have got it right on ,Odd's voice ,the steel is

awesome...we love It here in Canada.

I listen to all 10 videos and they are super.... I am a huge Buck Owens fan and you are bringing it all back.....Thank you " Bakersfield " Beautiful job........Fred S.

  • I share this video with everyone I know. Good god almighty. It's a goodurn.

  • this guy has a wonderful voice , kinda sounds like buck

  • That is incredible. I'm a dang okie, and son, there ain't nobody round here play that nice. Everybody sings about their tractors and mud and how "they are country?! it's terrible, Good to hear somebody playing the stuff. And in excellent style.

  • For more "Bakersfield," see "Buck Owens Tribute, Norway."

    10 videos.

  • I couldn't stop smiling. Now that's pure Buck love right there. Outstanding job. Who are they?

  • very nice guys god bless buck . you are doin AWESOME job here

  • I've playd guitar in that band when they started up in the late 90's. I quit because of the 90% Buck Owen's stuff....It became boring in all ways. Buck's music is fine, but you can't play a hole concert with only Buck song's. But good luck guy's, i prefer variation.

  • @fanmarti09 It is the drawback to being an instrument for a specific sound. The audience may have several country singers in their collection and when they have a need to to hear something specific, it's people like this band and you that delivers. Thanks for doin it for awhile. I bet you all got a great reception.

  • OMG you guys should do more songs like this. AWESOME!!!!

  • The absolute best. Hail Buck and hail Bakersfield!!!

  • For more videos of Bakersfield, see "Fendercaster1958." Two songs, - "Under your Spell" from 2009, and "Playboy" from 2006.

  • omg great what can i say wow

  • Hell yes. Mighty fine!

  • Wow ..

  • great job, you guys showed Buck so much respect. please more, and more!

  • All I can say is "WOW" if THIS is not the best resurrection of the Buck Owens and the Buckaroos "Bakersfield Sound" nothing is. Thank you guys for a great song and please record more soon!! Music is a language that transcends the language barrier, and for a group of guys from Norway, it sure sounds as if you just fell of of a Greyhound bus from Bakersfield, CA.

  • WOW!!!!! You guys should record more. You've really got it down, Buck would be proud of you. RIP Buck Love U

  • wow

  • Bakersfield cd er å få kjøpt på Country Music Import.

  • This is great.

  • A couple minutes with an online translator solved the mystery: they're Norwegian.

  • Great tribute band, but I can't seem to find any website that these guys have I'd like to buy some of their music if they have any availble.

  • Nice! a pleasure to listen to.

  • Love it, love it, love it. These guys totally nailed it!

  • Oh yeah,Very good stuff!

  • nice tight sound, excellent

  • Awesome this is a great performance

    5*

  • I should add that Willie Cantu is alive and kicking, as the last surviving member of the Buckaroos from their heyday in the 60´ties.

He teaches drums, and performs in Nashville. He visited us in Norway last January, gave a drum clinique and performed at a concert.

The old Cantu magic is still there, and he is a dynamite drummer. Great guy!

  • Thanks you all so very much for your kind comments.

It`s impossible to do full honor to the legendary work of Buck, Tom, Don, Doyle and Willie, - they were one of a kind.

And in as far as you like what you hear and see, it`s a tribute to the everlasting quality of their musical legacy, rather than to our efforts at trying to copy them.

It`s good to see that the steel guitar evokes memories of Steel Guitar Legend Tom Brumley, and today - by the way - is his birthday. A dear, departed friend.

  • Good Job Guys!!

  • Fabulous, all the way around! Steinar not only has Tom Brumley's licks nailed on pedal steel, he even has Tom's smile right! I sure would like to see more of these guys. Thanks for posting!

  • wow you did a gr8 job.sounds like buck.he will always be one of my favorites.a lot of laughs,a lot of tears, but i will love you through the years

  • WOW!!! THIS is real country music played the way real country music is supposed to be played...Thank you for posting this I needed to hear some real country. You have done Buck and the Buckaroos justice here.

  • Odd : Wow , what a fine job you and " Bakersfield " are doing on this fine old buck Owens Ballad.. Your steel player is fantastic..Enjoy the sound very much..Bernie

  • Great Sounding Voice! Great video; great tribute to Mr. Buck Owens.! I really liked Buck!

  • I sure wish sounds such as this would come back to country music today. God Bless Buck Owens, Don Rich and the original Buckaroos.

Not to mention an outstanding tribute!

  • Awseome singing...has a little of that Buck Owens voice

  • You guys nailed it. It took me back to the 60's when Buck dominated the charts.

    Thanks.

  • Unbelievably good.Lets seeMORE.

  • very nice! where did you guys get the jackets?

  • The Steel Player is even playing a ZB just like late great Tom Brumley's. Great Job.

  • great work, wonderful Buck Owens tribute, much respect!

  • Good job guys, right down to the sparkling "Tele". Where are these guys from? I don't think it's Bakersfield.

  • They're from Norway.

  • These guys are great. I hope they post more Buck Owens songs in the near future. This song sounds better than Buck himself, God rest his soul.

  • just great :-)

  • This video is awesome....GREAT job, imitating the great (and I thought inimatable) Buck Owens..... I could watch this all day!

  • Great job

  • what and who is this. I dont' know how I ran across this... it's spooky. I'm cryin my heart out. Buck was my favorite all of my life. And yes, I miss Don too. This is so unreal. Is there anyway to get a copy of this? Not even sure I could listen to it withou crying

  • holy amazing-it sounds just like buck did way back in '65!
