When I first discovered Radiohead I thought it was "little ant hanging around". For some reason I intentionally waited like six months to look up the lyrics.
@jasis666 Ye the level of tension is almost upto breaking point,Thom is truly in the zone when he starts singing. Makes the hairs stand up on the back of the neck
Really truly amazing song and really good work on the video. Your shot composition could be a little better, but overall I think you did a really top notch job of using this song to tell a story. Keep it up!
i found this song motivational not depressing, its just great how the melody is filled the whole song produce me shivers, one of my favourites from radiohead
i liked the video and think the tone and action fit in very well with this song. this song is so heavenly it must come from god [or someone equally talented]
This song is genius, a work of art. But the video? It's horrible, laughable actually. It looks like 8th graders made it. Sorry, I cringed! Especially in the epic last 2 minutes where Thom sings "You know where you are, with..." ??? Omg what an abortion!
@va70065 That's hardly a fair analysis. I think he did a really good job of conveying the tone of the song through his video. Clearly this took a lot of effort and had a lot of thought put into it. And if you payed attention then you could tell that he was very mindful of what was lit and in focus.
You obviously don't know a thing about camera work if you're saying that this video "looks like 8th graders made it". Or you're giving 8th graders far more credit than they deserve.
heard this song was reference to Kafka's "Metamorphosis." don't know if it is true (don't really think so) but it got me reading Kafka something that I am glad that I did! So thank you untrue Radiohead fact.
Wonderful song...I remember I was 20 when the album was released and I got my first serious love delusion..the sweet melancholy of this song matched perfectly with my feelings...
perfectly placed on the album, perfectly keyed to be a bizzaro world counter to karma police. this song is beautiful man. i love it. i could listen to it 1000 more times and never get tired of it. a chemical reaction, not useless though.
c'mon...i'm sure this song (as i see it) is saying you have to lift your own negativies to get to the positives... i'm all all kindsa things, but know that my true state of 'betterness' can onlt be got to by my own desire...
one of the best pop songs ever written...melody and the lyrics are put together in a very interesting way, moreover, there is a message in the song too, whcih is one of the paramount things a song should have, truly a piece of art Thom, though the videoclip does not reach the quality of the song obviously...
I'm a massive Radiohead fan & I believe that you can relate to many of their songs directly or have your own take on their lyrics. I love this song & I think this video is a great interpretation. Hats off to the commitment put in, great video.
others can be critical but personally my hat gos off to you , i have done a media video for a different radiohead song and it was bloody hard no such a short budget and little experience , this video could have been more surealist but it was good , and hey even radiohead themselves were able to make a video for the god like song so well done to you friend.
This song was written after thom was drunk and thought "what if everyone here was hanging from the ceiling". Still its my favourite song ever, I dont think its a depressing song, it picks me up whenever im feeling down.
I always read how people call Radiohead songs words like melancholic and sad and depressing... I don't hear that at all. I hear methodic, progressive, intelligent music. Just because a song's slow doesn't mean it has to invoke sadness. But hey, this is music and people can feel what they want about it. I just love this shit.
Dunno, from the lyrics and the sound it just sounds like a song about having his hopes crushed, but still hanging on to one in particular. Then again I could be totally wrong, because they can be taken so many ways.
I was refering to the music of the song rather than the lines, but yes there are some lines like one day i am gonna grw wings a chemical reaction hysterical and useless
If you choose to have that opinion on other genres of music, can you please try and keep it clean? Others may have a different opinion, but that doesnt mean that making inflammatory comments like yours is the right thing to do. People have varying tastes and choose what they want to listen to.
Hip Hop can be really good if theres something in it take for exemple Tupac, that guy was putting emotions in his songs that could send shivers down your spine anyways Pink Floyd Radiohead Tom Waits and Muse are a true gift

no hip hop/rap is not music. Its people attempting to string neanderthal words together against computer generated tunes. Its not music and Thom Yorke knows this, which is why he refuses to acknowledge all the try hards who just want to kiss his ass.
my guess is that you haven't looked hard enough for the right kind of hip hop. not all of it is about guys taking about the rim size on their cars and whores. there's actually rap or hiphop that's really profound and worth experiencing. look up lupe fiasco. he might be my favorite hip hop artist.
That's extremely ignorant. Clearly you've only been exposed to the garbage that MTV like to show on a regular basis. Maybe you should look up guys like Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Blu and Exile, the Roots, Common, and you'll see that hip-hop isn't only about what you mentioned. Maybe you should do some research before you bash a whole genre of music.

You can't beat the first time you really listen to this song.
I was in an English class and it came on and I wasn't focusing on anything but the lyrics and the melody and I had a really wierd breakdown and burst into tears, but in the best way possible.
wow, brings back memories, i was weedeating cemetaries in 98', mow the tall grass and rearrange the teddy bears and dried flowers in front of the stones. reptililian, hanging around, wondering about the lives buried like dead banana peels beneath my feet...
ok computer was the first album I ever bought... purely on the the strength of no surprises. when I heard 'let down' I knew radiohead would be in my life forever.
Love this song so much. I know what people mean about a piece of music touching them in a way nothing else can. The way the song breaks down at 2.31 and slowly builds back up again is magic. And the ending, where the acoustic guitar is playing over the "computer bleeps" just does something to me.
i dont know speack good english, but i think radiohead is the greates band ever, jonny greenwood is my favorite guitar,no solo,no heavy, just to feel the music like this video he dicho!
This song takes my breath away every time I hear it. It automatically brings tears to my eyes and I don't know why. I'm not a huge Radiohead fan. Its as if there is "something in the water" here. I just can't put my finger on what it is.
this was and always will be a sad,&bitter sweet song for me,as i lost my son when i was just getting into "radiohead" whoever made this video, a big...thank -you,this is how i felt, icouldnt express how i felt,my wife left me, with the other kids, i almost gave-up, this kept me going thinking "someone" someday, would realise the anguish i felt.............

Love this song so much. I know what people mean about a piece of music touching them in a way nothing else can. The way the song breaks down at 2.31 and slowly builds back up again is magic. And the ending, where the acoustic guitar is playing over the "computer bleeps" just does something to me.

Wow this video is so well put together in so many ways... definitely touched my soul and left a strong impression on me.
Fantastic job and KUDOS to YOU for expressing yourself in ways others are afraid to. :O)

This song takes my breath away every time I hear it. It automatically brings tears to my eyes and I don't know why. I'm not a huge Radiohead fan. Its as if there is "something in the water" here. I just can't put my finger on what it is.
EXCELLENT JOB on the video!!!! :)
