  • Hmm that focaccia sandwich looks good! The only bread I've made so far is french bread, but I may give this a go :)

  • @aglanceatmyworld Yea - it's super easy.

  • Mmmmm... focaccia bread.... *insert Homer Simpson drool here*

  • Question: Aren't you supposed to activate the yeast with water first?

  • @eskimolipss You can - but you don't HAVE to - I didn't in this recipe and it was just fine. :)

  • 3:25 Spank that dough! :-)

  • @umbalaba I'm bad.

  • didn't know focaccia bread could be that easy!

I know I commented on another video about this but I "got to thinking" lol , anyhow, I was wondering if you would do a "What's that Spice" type segment, similiar to the cheese, I went back to my spice rack to find not only is it the mustard seeds that I have no idea what to do with, but it is bay leaves, coriander, caraway seeds, majoram.

    Help Please???

  • @Fatuality Good call! We should do that.

  • Love focaccia :) Great episode! Looked delicious! Never made it though. Also I was wondering if you've ever had stuffed grape leaves? I think it'd be an interesting topic! I love them! haha

  • @tokyoxjapanxfan Dolma? Yes, I have and they're great. We could cover them for sure!

  • Focaccia has been and will probably always will be my favorite type of bread. I find it to be the BEST sandwich bread, just cut in half and yumyum (funny thing i typed this before you said it in video and then I said to laugh). Another reason its still my favorite is because I don't have a working oven so I have to use a toaster oven. It sucks for making tall bread but focaccia and flat bread, oh yeah :D

  • @faylinameir There ya go! Yay for working under constraints.

  • Yummm

  • That's looks so tasty Dan! Thanks for sharing.

  • @SuvinRK Of course!

  • Could you please do a WTF on dragon fruit? Thanks!

  • @andreashteynberg Sure will!

  • love focaccia its one of my favorite bread

(but will never beat nuts bread in my heart )

but the one my baker make look way different he roll a spiral of dought whit herbs big piece of black olive, green olives and virgin olive oil, the dought look more flaky and spongy almost like a croisant and outside its crunchy like a pastry, im guessing its a different kind of focaccia.. delicious

  • @TeaIicious Not sure! This looks a lot like the kind I've had - but if his is good - that's all that matters. :)

  • I make a mean focaccia

  • I have found that focaccia to be too bready for most sandwiches, but there are some where it can be terrific. Did you use Active Dry Yeast or Instant Yeast for your dough? Also, I have found pizza dough to be a fine substitute for making focaccia. I have a place near my home that sells their killer dough for cheap ($1/1lb.) and makes some really tasty focaccia. I'll bake mine to about 95% then sprinkle mizithra cheese, maldon salt and bake it until the cheese is melted. Yum.

  • @thePowerPlant Yum! It was instant yeast.

  • I really want to try this at some point. What changes should I make/what should I be aware of if I choose to use whole wheat flour as opposed to white flour?

  • Looks delicious! What were you spreading on it at the end? Headed to RiverWaveFoods to see if I can figure it out.

  • @margowsky looks like tapenade maybe...

  • @PlatypusGuitar Yep! Looks like the Tapanui Tapenade.

  • @margowsky Yup! Exactly that.
