FMA was a amazing series, and would of made the list but personally I thought it dragged out a little to long, same with Inuyasha. Dragonball with the comedy, and more realistic, creative combat I think deserves way more respect then Dragonball Z. I loved your list, I personally like more mainstream dubbed animes. You should most definitly watch Baccano. Not just you, the people reading this comment should watch as well. Everyone that watches it does and will love it. Go into that anime with HIGH expectations and they will be met. And since Baccano is always going to be awesome, watch Durarara. Not as good as Baccano but still damn good. Might see some familiar faces. :D

I seriously recommend an anime called Clannad. Some of my friends don't want to bother watching it because they believe it's too girly and such but trust me, this anime left me crying like a baby by the end of it. You said an anime where you actually care about a fictional character? This one has plenty. Im 19 yrs old, and like you love all types of metal and video games, and this anime had me crying so much. I loved it so much that this is the 4th time I watch the series in a 2 month period.

I only read the mangas which ive found better but for anime that i actually stayed with and enjoyed was naruto and bleach(which i read the manga for both also). i remember watching naruto ever since it came to america in english(still watch it now naruto shippuden) and i just started watching bleach from episode one which is pretty good.

If they never got widespread exposure on CN, then most Americans, today, wouldn't think that all Japanese cartoons are cliche-perverted-cheesy-pieces of crap, which is exactly how Naruto and Bleach portrayed them to be.

Now if you want a phenomenal series, then look no further than Samurai Champloo.

Great list bro! Dragon Ball Z would be my favorite of all time. I started watching it back in 98 when it was on Toonami. Then afterthe genyu force showed up they didnt have the rest of the episodes translated so I watched the rest of the series in japanees with english caption. Great vid bro!

Hunter x Hunter is really good as well. They are now doing another adaptation that follows the manga more accurately, just like they did with FMA. So a good reason to get (back) into it imo.
