darn, not a good feeling when that happens but glad you got her up and running again Tim ! I use some of the Spektrum RX's (6110e and AR 7000 if I remember correctly) but not the 6100 (don't have them that's why :-), also the cheap orange Hobbyking RX's DSM2 Spektrum compatible all work out great for me so far in any model (Goshawk T45 EDF 50 mm from HK, Parkzone Mustang P51D...) and I plan on sticking to them also for my Parkzone Habu and ohters. Fly hard !
same happend to me with my dx6i and my rx was a ar6200 on my seagull low wing trainer aand sice then ive change to hitec 2.4ghz tx's pure because they are more less likely to have then same problem what spectrum has.so i hope you change soon before you loss a great model to an inadvisable problem.
hi tim.! it's been a year since i met u hir in youtube. i'm so thankful that u gave me an advice regarding my t28 UM as my 1st plane...now i fly...t28 UM, GWS estarter, .25 size fun fly 3d nitroplane and scratch built foamie zero...thank tim! oh btw i have ar500 in my nitro plane..and up to now i don't have any problem with blackout...^^< thank so much,..greetings from philippines..
@TinkerManRC ha, i was trying to do this on an ipad and it spelled corrected parkzone, i was trying to say i fly my parkzone radian (with and ar500) at almost 2000ft and never had a signal loss, its still unfortunate though, love the plane ill be buying one soon
@TinkerManRC hmmm tim...coz i'm planning to buy cessa 182 high wing rc....sky trainer....or the t-28 full scale...but cessna is more cheaper than...t-28....so where should i go? btw advance merry christmas greetings from the philippines ^^,
@polbo23 was the cessna you were looking into made by flyzone? i have the same dillema as you! i own a UM t-28 and was going to move up to The full size t-28 but then saw a high wing cessna 182 as well. From what i read, the high wing cessna may be underpowered, and may stall a lot.
@happyturtle18 no...FMS is alot better or dynam....t-28 full size is much harder for an approach...i have su-27 from artech b4 and i've crash it in landing...so what is your choice? cessna or t-28? hahahah...maybe we should go for HABU...LOL
@TinkerManRC tnx tim...btw a friend of mine buy cessna 400....and i flew it yesterday...and now i finally see the difference between big rc and UM..^^. ultra micro is very hard to keep it stable...i have 3 flights yesterday...the last flight is disaster T-T the battery came of and hang...the plane is really unstable...but i've managed to land it on the grass hahaha....i was really nervous that time. ..it was like life and death situation hahaha...tnx tim...
@polbo23 I know just what you mean I just about get sick the 1st time I fly a new plane. Sometimes I have to sit there and talk myself into doing it. But it all works out in the end
get one of the lil capacitors, not the sprektrum one (a bit expensive) as you can get em cheap on ebay (i use one in all my spektrum planes including the park flyer rcvr) never had a brownout loss of control yet and flown a lil p40 a long way away on the lil rcvr! I use the ar500 or above on most but have a smaller one on 2 smaller parkfliers
Dont worry,im 14,i fly already 2years and my trojan crash verry hard into the ground. The whole prop drilled into the dirt. But only the nose broke off, thats actually it.Now i fly it really good in competitions. Its just an amazing plane!! :)Nice video and well done flaps!!!!Keep up the good work!!!! ;)
I believe what you say about it being rx,but from my computer screen it looks like you slowed down to much in the turn and tip stalled into the ground.but thats prob just optical illusion. I enjoy your video's!
great flying ...right up to the part where you bought the farm. thats a tough one. but if anyone can bring her back to life , its you. RIP for now. id never thought id see a crash posting from you.:)
whats the purpose of the metallic painted surfaces? visibility?
The ar6100 is highly prone to low voltage brown out. I lost several planes in the exact manner you describe until I started using a separate 3amp switching BEC with them. Never had a single problem with them since. Good luck with the repairs.
I've never had that happen, but thats what range testing is for i guess.

Lost a perfectly good Corsair to an ar500. They won't own up or make restitution for a problem in their design.

is this a UBEC?

Yes. A UBEC. Make sure it is a "swithcing" BEC and not a "linear" BEC.
