  • Its been 25 years since I played that game, and I still new every tone of it. Great to hear it again.

  • This game is such a nice memory from my childhood.

  • IK !! Brilliant. Ah, happy days indeed. Buggy Boy. The Last Ninja, Bruce Lee. Good times.

  • MAN,, this takes me back,, GIVE ME more games like this ,,,,,.....

  • Total awesome music...this is 'just' one single SID...pfff.i have about 40 synthesizers here, also Korg Oasys..but deep, (read deeeeeeep) respect for this...in fact i feel humble when i hear this...i think the Oays could learn from the Sid..thanks Rob..(and Martin, Joseph, Jeroen, etc etc ;-))

  • THIS is just a C64??....just one SID??..i don't believe it, hope it is true......

  • Classic C64, Run Tape Or Load Tape?!

  • good quality

  • 10000% AWESOME GOOOD....plug in synths sucks in comparison with this...Jezus!!! (forgive) SOOOOOOOO gooood music!

  • i played this game ALOT xD sometimes i used to launch the game just for the music :)

  • Hubbard was an absolute genius. He was able to invoke the hidden 4th channel when needed.

  • @Fixxer3474 invoke? that's the most nerdy comment ever, and i dont say this in a bad way, i agree ;)

  • pure epic !

  • great music, i was 13 when i have played this game and the time with this game was cool. But joystick doesnt like this game :-)

  • If you love this track, you will lova this acapella version:

    youtube.com/watch?v=DGciu14uBYg

At 1-2 places it's false, but altogether really nice, brings out this song's elegance!

  • isn't this an enhanced "cover" of forbidden colours by sylvain/sakamoto?

  • One of the coolest games ever with one of Rob's best songs.

Beauty in simplicity ... fighting in front of the Shinx ... xD

  • vitun tiukkaaa riffii

  • Yea very good job .This music is very good:]]]]].I like this tune very much. 5*****!

  • argh the last minute is missing :p j/k

    C64 soundchip ftw!

    thx for uploading.

and may i request street surfer title song without pacechanges or cars honk plz. if u have

  • I so loved kicking ass to this tune. Oh the 80s...

  • i heard this track in a film i watched years ago with david bowie, merry christmas mr lawrence.

  • best lead break along with monty on the run in C64 music. I started playing guitar from listening to C64 tunes. I', still playing and listening 20 odd years later :D...Rob Hubbard is the master of computer music!

  • i love this music :D brings back memories! great tune.. thanks for uploading!

  • Love Rob Hubbard...however it sounds like the theme to Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence by Ryupchi Sakamoto. Rob's best tune is probably Zoids or LastV8

  • Yeah, Machinae Supremacy featured this one on their Sidology Episode 2 Trinity, and the first time I heard it I was "Oh god this is Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence, but then I found out that they actually took it from this game and I gotta admit, Hubbard's song in this one sounds very very very much like Ryuichi Sakamoto's Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence.

  • @tuhind I think it is 'heavily influenced' by that tune. :P

  • the sound is a bit off when the beat changes at the middle.

  • Umm, I mean the first part of the song. Great tune.

  • More like a cover, but really good one. Thanks for posting.

  • Definitely inspired by David Sylvian and Ryuichi Sakamoto - Forbidden Colours.

  • This is my favorite Hubbard tune. There's some unnecessary looping and the shifts at 4:05 and 8:55 aren't very polished. I don't hold these details against the song since altogether it's one of the most progressive c64 tracks ever made. Very impressive.

btw. If you haven't noticed yet, you can upload over 10min videos, the actual limit is just under 11min.

  • Aye, besides the over-looping its an impressive tune.

And ye, i just dicovered the other day :) thanks though..

The last part is just more looping so i didnt care, but still..

  • I played this game loads back when i was a kid, 4 player awesome fighting game! Which in my mind was the first :) 5/5!

  • theres also International Karate +

seems theres a big difference in the music, gonna put it on queue, not sure which one of them i played.
