wish the pirates were still good.grew up watching guys like willie stargell,kent tekulve,the "candy man"......later on Barry Bonds,Jay bell,Bobby Bonilla.....but we still have the Steelers and pens!Doesn't get any better than that!
Steelers and Penguins are awesome. The Pirates are a cheap organization with a terrible GM, horrible; they trade all players as soon as they get good (and too expensive).
Former Pirates Third Base Coach John Russell was named the new Pirates manager. Can he lead the Bucs back to being a powerful team and to the playoffs? Pittsburgh has the most beauiful ballpark in baseball, and wouldn't it be awesome if the Pirates were contenders and almost every game was sold out?
I have a feeling that the Pirates time is coming ^_^
