How is it that two total idiots got a job reviewing movies? You two are haters or dont have a dang clue what a great movie is! Would you know good movie if i slapped you in the face with the script? Learn your job an how to review a great movie or get a job that you can do. May i suggest something for you both? Crash test dummies or testing new drugs so the poor lab rats can live a better life!!
Agreed with this review - you can tell the director used to be a video director, because the cinematography was beautiful, but everything else just kind of fell flat. The dialogue was, at times, laughably bad.
In other news, something about Ellen Fox continues to inexplicably irritate me.
You guys...suck at reviewing. I guess you were trying to dumb it down.
This was a very complex story that is set in a very different decade than is ours. I was very disappointed with how modernized the story became in the film. I was hoping for a true testament to the book. With that said, I thought the actors brought their best. I think Christoph Waltz is brilliant. No one could have combined the role of Uncle Al and August as well.
Anyone who hasn't already, read the book! You'll love it!
What utter rubish. Look at the era, Rpatz's acting was appropriate for the time of the film. Dignified in harsh conditions. And the direction was focused. Reese played joy in depression well. Loved this beautiful film. The only think rotten is the tomatoes review. And i am not a cougar or a twi hard, just a film buff who wants value for money and I have never left the cinema wanting my time back from a Rpatz movie.
I pretty much agree. It wasn't terrible, but okay. Meh. Plus, they axed a lot of what the book had. And Reese's wig was very...wiggy. Rpatz did suck. Sorry. I think he's only considered a great actor in the Twi-universe by the rabid tweens and cougars. I couldn't believe how bad he was. I should have known better.
It's disheartening to me, as a fan of the book, that this film seems to be just a shell of the original work. All the beauty of the setting, but none of the heart that it became famous for.
Actually, you cant blame the director for no chemistry in the love triangle. there was no chemistry in the book.

This is so upsetting. I loved the book, it was beautiful. So sad that the movie is a hunk of elephant poo. Also Robert Pattinson . . . . icky.

These people have become far too harsh with their classic drama and indy cred.
