  • This is mine, and my wife's favorite song. I'm trying to learn the cords at the moment but i keep cocking it up!!!!!!!!! Easy cords too,but my fingers don't work to well now. Arthritis in my fingers and knuckles, hope it don't get no lower HA!

  • Woah! I love the John Denver song. Yet I never imagined it like this. It does fit as both the song and the movie are called Spirit. The eagle really reminds me of John Denver. Several of his songs have eagles, like "The Eagle and the Hawk", "Looking for Space" and "Eagles and Horses". BTW the movie is Spirit, Stallion of the Chimeron. I didn't care for it. The horses never talk so it was difficult understanding what was going on.

  • what movie is this??

  • @oz22verizon The movie is called "SPIRT" but it has no John Denver music track!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • omg what movie is this ?? i want it! please answer!

  • Killer JD song! Great Movie!

  • What is this movie? I have never heard of it but I will definitely be getting it!!!

  • It's too bad they didn't use his music for this movie. I mean I love Bryan Adams and all but John Denver's music was totally made for this Movie. Why didn't they think of that???

  • do you have "Tradewinds" in your catalog? and if you do can you please put it up?

  • @nerdz410

Yes I do have that song, I will see what I can do with it. Thanks for the request.

  • @mistikay thsnk you!! there is no video on youtube that has it as a song.

  • the man and his music John Denver ,,,where flowers still bloom and rivers run free john Denver your safely home with thee,,,holding your golden guitar I can still hear you singing from high above the mountian tops,,to each and every one,,rest in peace john,,,

  • @Dolphindream15

Beautifully said, Thank you for your post.

  • @Dolphindream15 How beautiful your thoughts and heart are towards John Denver..His music touched millions ...He's flyin high on those charging horse clouds..I love that...Perfect...:) <3 NOW!

  • This is one of my favorite songs, with so much power, energy, and joy. The video is cool especially for a cartoon. I think he'd love it!....

  • Loved the song, and it's set to the perfect movie. John totally would have loved the animation.

  • I think JD would have liked the animation...

  • FLYING!

  • i love his music it is so inspiring to care for nature and eachother

he has songs that can touch the soul

  • Beautiful! This is John Denver's best song. I have the Windsong cassette and I've ordered the CD. I had it on 8 track tape when it was released in 1975. It continues to be one of my favorite albums. You've done a great job here, thank you for posting this wonderful piece!

  • i can remember i bought this windsong album back in 1975 and listen to it everyday, its breathtaking listen to his songs. now i got the cd of it , what a treasure to have. nice set up mistikay love it

  • Thank you, and yes, I do agree that that album is a treasure to have.

  • wow, another good one.

  • Thank you

  • I woke up this morning and this song was ringing in my mind--it was so beautiful, like it was a part of my dream. this is very beautiful! I love it. thanks for posting it .

  • You are most welcome, and thanks for watching

  • I have always loved the way the music soars in this song at 2:50. The entire song is extremely well crafted but the end sends me into rapture.

  • Thank you for your comment that is a very good description of this song.

  • Very well stated.

  • Well done! very well done, Love the movie and the song, Thanks for sharing

  • Thanks

  • Thank you for the video. I haven't watched the movie and now I've got to go out and get it! John loved the wild animals and wanted them to always be free to live their lives as nature intended. I agree with him. Thanks for posting.

  • Thank you for commenting, and by all means get that movie! You will love it!

  • Two favorites of mine: John Denver and Spirit. Can't go wrong!

  • Thanks, These are two of my favorites as well.

  • This song takes me back to 1976, 9th grade Slidell High. Actually the song came from the Spirit album . Windsong came out a year before the Spirit album but both great albums.

  • Thank you, for the correction I will go back and have a look at all of those good old albums.

  • What movie was the animation from. This is one of my all time John Denver songs. RIP John Denver.

  • The movie is "Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron"

  • Thank you mistikaty. Appreciate the info.

  • No problem, and thank you for your comment.

  • I absolutely love the music to this song. I love the words, too but I think the music is extraordinary!! He wanted everything to be free to live within its' own environment--not a man-made prison. Thanks for posting; I truly am appreciative of your own desires to keep free what should be free!!

  • I so agree about the music and lyrics. John had a way of touching me to the very core with his work. I hear these songs that I loved as a teenager, and they still fill my being with the same joy. Timeless ... thanks for the original post.

  • How could anyone listen to this "gift" from John and not feel touched by the sheer honesty of his music?? I was in my teens when he blessed us with "Country Roads" and I've been a faithful fan ever since!! God Bless!!

  • I love that movie and th soundtrack. Putting John's song to these clips was very cool and seems like it was written with this movie in mind. Excellent work!!

  • Ah, this is so neat. Nice video! Great song by John. Nice job!
