  • I love you for uploading this!

  • i'm directing a scene from this film in my director's workshop class, awesome movie!

  • Ed wood is the inspiration for Monty Python's "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life."

  • do I really have a face like a horse?? oh man, that is terrible!!

  • Johnny Depp is so hot.

  • I laughed out loud when she said, "Do I really have the face of a horse?" I've been referring to Sarah Jessica Parker as Horse Face for years and everyone always knows who I'm talking about. XD

  • @TwilightSucks931 I never really understood that. I mean, if anyone is known as horse-face it should be Tori Spelling.

  • @Qu33nii She looks more frog-like than horse-like, I think.

  • @TwilightSucks931 They both look like diarrhea poured into a face shaped mold.

  • This is in my top ten favorite films of all time.

  • opening credist HOLY SHIT THIS COOL HOT BEANS

  • Hysterical movie.

  • How many dicks can you fit in your mouth?

  • Wow suprised this is even here. This is some of Depp's best work.

    Thanks =)

  • OMFG, Bill Murray!?!

  • uhm.... I dont know what to say about this... I dont know if its a Bad movie or a movie back from the dead. I watched it and I dont know what to say.

  • @themegagamesgamer

Nothing TO say...just smile and enjoy. XD

  • @themegagamesgamer I guess explaining "irony" to you would be a wasted endeavor

  • I've never seen this movie before!! That is why I'm watching this now!!! :D

  • "the story opens on these misterious explosions, nobody knows whats causing them but it's upsetting all the buffalos, so the military are calling to solve the mistery"

  • "do i really have a face of a horse?" yes..yes you do

  • @elise199528 Yeah, she's not even attractive XD

  • 6:49

    LOL!

  • 11 people accidentally pressed the dislike button D:

  • Also, I have to add that Bill Murray is amazing in this movie. His mannerisms are hilarious.

  • And by movie I meant DVD, not theater.

  • how the FUCK this isn't released on DVD in Greece? The intro here alone is an INSTANT CLASSIC! You see bullshit tv series being released on DVD, yet this along with other classic movies (see Hitchcock) are lost forever.

    Lucky Brittish/American bastards!

  • @Epitaph6663 Well, to tell the truth, the movie originally had trouble being released in the US as well. Because of legal reasons concerning one of the extras, the disc had to be recalled within a few days of release, and wasn't re-released until months later. My friend actually paid $50 for a copy of the original release on ebay.

  • @Epitaph6663 mwahahaha

  • orgy of the dead? now, is that the one where all the dead people have an orgy.

There cant be a lot of movement in it.

  • @nath909 The actors must be really stiff.

    God, I suck.

  • 6:48 so THAT'S where it all started...

  • do i really have a face like a horse?

    lol......

  • I love this movie- it's one of those rare returns to the classical hollywood format, which is what makes it so great.

  • love Johnny Depp (<3)

  • the funny part really is ... SHE DOES HAVE A FACE LIKE A HORSE!!! long and shaped like a horse. one of the ugliest and most OVERATED females in history.

  • Bill Murray!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i think this was made around Halloween because there is nothing shocking or scary or even heart stopping about this movie but i still LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!!!

  • is this supposed to be a scary movie? or a sad movie? or happy or regular feeling movie

  • @maddiegott- It's just a biography based on the life and career of Ed Wood, the director famous for making some of the worst movies ever made. There's maybe one or two sad moments and many funny moments, but it's mostly a biography.

  • was the dude in the beginning the priest in sleepy hollow? it looks a lot like him

  • @cassidys9 Yes he was. Jeffrey Jones. He was also in Ferris Beuller's Day Off.

  • @cassidys9 Yes, he also played the dad in Beetlejuice.

  • how come this documentary movie is so good but the movies he made were so bad

  • @luigiblox Simply because Tim Burton can make a good film and Ed Wood couldn't. A good film about a bad filmmaker; that's the amazing irony of this film.

  • @luigiblox Ironic huh?

  • I remember long ago when they had a biography on the you guessed it Bio channel about Johnny Depp. So anyway they show his list of films he was in and I saw this weird one that was in black and white. I thought at the time it looked stupid and dumb and watched on for more classic Depp. In recent years I have grown to watch and love the AVGN guy(a.k..a James Rolfe) who in a couple of his episodes told me about Ed Wood. SO here I am watching Ed Wood. Thank you AVGN and Bio channel. :)

  • tim burton+johnny depp = a genius movie

    it always works :)

  • @MsMila91 all except for that willy wonka remake

  • the first scene is the play based on his war experiences; it "flopped miserabally"

  • @ExplodeThisBarNow Ok, no need to use language. I know you have your opinions, but what DO you find lame about Johnny Depp? I just want to know.

  • I like this movie and a lot of other Time Burton movies, such as Edward Scissorhands, which is my favorite movie aside from Titanic. :) Johnny Depp is my favorite actor of all time. I think Dakota Fanning is my favorite actress of all time for how good she is, and how good she is at such a young age!! I know, kind of off topic, but I had to put that out there. lol

  • James Rolfe [aka the Angry Video Game Nerd] brought me here.

  • @ExplodeThisBarNow How dare you....Johnny depp is one of the greatest actors that has ever lived and unlike most celebrities Johnny Depp is not obsessed with his looks or what people think of him...He is not self obsorbed and Unlike some people...always has a good word for people...And he is very hot,but that is beside the point

  • @TeamStefanXOXO Amen!!! But not to seem mean, but I believe it's "A-bsorbed" not obsorbed. lol Just trying to help out. :)

  • @4everjdepp right....my bad lol

  • @ExplodeThisBarNow pssh thats not nice, ur lame :P

  • I'm surprised this hasn't been removed by the Tube Nazis yet.

  • @JDCMovies SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

  • Does this movie honor Ed? insult him? BOTH?!

  • @APPLESAUCE50

it's a loving tribute to the spirit of film making mr. wood could dream and he never gave up in a way it parrelled another landau movie tucker, preston to was not afraid to dream

  • @APPLESAUCE50 Honour ed? Yeah, but mainly for his persistence and determination on his films, rightly so. Insult him? No, but it does jab fun at him for his incompetence as a director in general. That's why he's a cult icon.

  • @elltell1990 when you spar with your friend, do you punch him? when you poke fun at a friend, do you not also insult him light-heartedly?

  • Tim burton's the best director and johnny depps the best actor and when they collide it's an awesome movie

  • @SkittleE275 I so very much agree with you!!!

  • this was my favorite movie back when it came out, thanks for putting it up!

  • @notsusan indeed and long over due but at last ed woods here deservingly so and thank you for putting this wonderful film making process on youtube

  • @notsusan it still is

  • @Whoser u said it!

  • most epic opening scene ever! awesome movie Tim Burton!

  • The title sequence is the best opening title scene I've ever seen, like ever.

  • Now THIS is the movie Ed Wood would've wanted to be remembered for. As long as we watch them, remember them, remember him... remember all his friends... Edward D. Wood, Jr.

  • Aw. Ed Wood is such a sweet character.

  • ماذا يعني لكم اطباق طائره ماهي إلي شياطين وهولي ود

  • @gooldTI I concur

  • Howard Shore's score is great, I love it. But I always wonder what Danny Elfman could've brought to the table lol.

  • best director ever... and I mean it... any one with such passion and commitment should be respected, and that include Ed

  • this is a great movie. If you've never seen it you will enjoy

  • Thank you for uploading this. I love this movie!

  • Technically, people ARE making whole movies with stock footage, a-la YouTube Poop.

  • I love the opening credits for this movie. It's perfect for a movie about Ed Wood

  • 6:50 FINALLY SHE REALIZES IT!!!!!!!!!!

  • @cupicaik125 lol

  • This is so exciting!

  • Can't thank you enough for posting this.

  • Is that actually Criswell?

  • @AroadtoDawn Wow, because he looked a lot like Criswell from Plan 9. Then again so does Bill Murry.

  • @xxPatheticEmoxx Well, Criswell died in 1982, this came out in 1994.

  • This Film is a total classic,it's such a pity that it was totally overlooked by the Public.

Although I do believe it did get one very well deserved Oscar ,I think Martin Landau

got best supporting Actor.Johnny Depp should have also been rewarded as it jst goes to show how Brilliant and brave he is doing a Movie like this.I bet there is no other so called "Heart Throbs" apart fro maybe George Clooney who would dare to make something as daring as this Film.Power to you Mr Depp your Great.

  • @flanneryged HOW could THIS movie be overlooked by ANYONE!!!???!!!???!!!??? it is so awesome!!!

  • @flanneryged Totally Agree, This Happens to be One of My Favourite Movies of all Time and Johnny Depp is my Favourite Actor

  • Wow, a Burton movie Danny Elfman didn't make the music for ;)

  • @ShiekahTribe - I noticed! I love Danny Elfman so a Tim Burton movie isn't really the same with out Danny Elfman music.

  • black and white ??? dangg how old is johnny depp

  • @SillyNilly303 Ed Wood is from 1994, it's only made in style of an old horror movie ;)

  • @ShiekahTribe Don't some people say the stupidest shit on here.

  • i love it johnny depp funny

  • ironically it is an awesome film about a horrible director!!

  • this is more than just a movie, it's a celebration of Ed Wood. He was possibly the worst director ever, but he never gave up and kept on making those crappy movies!

it's funny that even he was terrible, in a way it's what made him famous and even got him his own movie!

  • My two favorite Tim Burton films are this and "Mars Attacks". That move is simply awesome!

  • This movie is SO GOOD! ...Unfortunately, it flopped(like most of ed wood's stuff...)

  • one of the best-cast movies of all time

  • Johnny Depp was incredible in this brilliant film. I think this is Johnny Depp and Tim Burton's greatest film, and this movie made me have a huge respect for the worst Director of all time, "Ed Wood".

  • Tim Burton's best film next to Nightmare.

  • bill murray and johnny depp = WIN

  • its funny that sarah jessica parker said "they told me my face looks like a horse" lol

  • @Shanethefilmmaker Well it does XD

  • One of my favorite films of all-time. :) I think it's kind of under-appreciated.

  • this is like schindler's list black and white

  • LMAO!!!! I LUV JOHNNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ♥♥

  • lol south park said jessica parker looked like a horse to. lol

  • @jakesworld11 i remember that episode but i think that was family guy

  • I wish this movie had made more money.

  • Bill Murray, Jim Carrey and Eddie Murphy: The Gods Of Modern Comedy In Modern Films! :-)

  • damn johnny depp is fucken hott! hes my favorite actor!

  • @nanerta i'm hot too ):

  • @nanerta i know thats right amen!

  • @nanerta thats right asshole DON'T YOU FORGET IT!

  • @KyleGibbons91 yeah i sorta agree

  • OMFG I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE JOHNNY DEPP <3<3<3<3<3

  • Comment removed

  • believe it or not- this is the first time I've seen this movie

  • @dreamwarrior2008 me too

  • I had high hopes for this movie... being that burton and depp were involved... but... I was highly disappointed.. too long and mundayne.. when he got finished with the first move (in the movie) .. I thought that it was the end... but it was really the middle.. so no.. no me gusta esta pelicula

  • Ed Wood could have played Gary Oldman.

    He´s very similar.

  • I adore Tim Burton, especially when he works with Johnny Depp!!!

  • perfect !!

  • Sara Parker is wright, she looks like a real HOrse.

  • this is when tim burton started making good movies

  • @Timcookie321 so you thought Edwards Scissorhands wasnt good?

  • @bobbyjans actually I think i put started in by mistake, i meant this is the ERA when he made good movies

  • @Timcookie321 agreed. Gday mate

  • @amtriplekkk

    seriously?

  • It rains in LA?

  • do i really have a face like a horse haha b4 i saw this movie i use to always call her horse face not to be mean i love her but it's true

  • Excellent movie.

  • This opening title sequence was brilliant —encapsulated both of Wood's two most famous films: Bride Of The Monster and, of course, Plan Nine From Outer Space and you have that wonderful score. From start to finish, this movie was a labour of love on the part of Tim Burton, Johnny Depp and all those involved. And the only reason why Bill Murray didn't get Best Supporting Actor Oscar was because of Martin Landau's totally captivating performance as Bela Lugosi. Simply a wonderful movie.

  • hey its principle ed rooney

  • love Martin Landau anf Johnny Depp! Great to see them in this movie! : )

  • I wonder what the music would sound like if Danny Elfman and Burton hadn't had that arguement

  • If I could go back in time. I would go to the 50's so I could see Ed wood's movies. They were really good and they didn't get enough fame. Even Glen or Glenda wasn't that bad. No one liked his movies, I think I would have. :(

  • Poor Ed Wood, he was such a nice person. he wasn't a dick like most of the other people. He just wasn't cut out for the Movie industry.

  • "Do I really have a face like a horse?"

    hahaha

    Poor Sarah Jessica Parker.

  • @Nathanamerican27 haha she does.

  • Ed wood is the most notorious directors he makes bad movies n i mean bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but his movies arent boring their strange weird n idiotic but he was a monumental film maker n those things make his movies watchable ive seen movies dat r worse than glen or glenda n plan 9

  • this film made ed wood even more epic.

  • Oh what does that old queen know? lol

  • warum immer englisch ?):

  • The first time I saw this I was on 3 tabs of acid and watched the whole thing from start to finish. It was definitely incredibly strange, I got so possessed by this film, half the time I was convinced the movie was actually filmed in color, but when I looked hard it would shift slowly back to black and white. Weird fucking night.

Now its one of my favorite movies ever, its like as bizzare and weirdly paced as an actual Ed Wood film.

  • great upload quality!

  • "Do I really have a face like a horse?"- Sarah Jessica Parker CLASSIC!

  • The MAJOR difference between Ed Wood and Ewe Boll. Is that Ed Wood is so bad that he is a classic. Ewe Boll is a sin against nature.

  • 1:50-1:53 wow now they make movies all the time togeter i think this is were they started there friendship

  • The opening sequence is so typical Tim Burton. He's a genious

  • When I saw the railers for this... I was a little hesitant on watching Johnny Depp's performance... but I'm impressed... another brilliant peice of work to add to my favorite movies with Johnny Depp in them :D

  • Tim Burton's greatest film! No frak'n debate! This is the one!

  • this film is amazing! its funny, sad, and uplifting one of the best films ever!

  • Burton's best film by far. I wish he would do more studd like this his new stuff just isnt as good.

  • if Tim Burton can make an Ed Wood biopic as brilliant as this, i want him to make a biopic about his idol, Vincent Price

  • @DarkProphet94 and Robert Downey Jr would play the young version, with Martin Landau as the older version! ...At least, that's what i would like to see...

  • @DarkProphet94 Tim Burton already did something like that with his short movie "Vincent" It's a story about Vincent Malloy who imagines himself as Vincent Price and its the first movie Burton ever directed. If you haven't seen it yet I highly recommend it.

  • @PTSmash "Vincent" is actually my favorite stop motion film. and, as it turns out, Burton's remaking Frankenweenie into a black and white stop motion film in 2011.

  • @DarkProphet94 "Vincent" is my favorite as well. I do remember hearing about "Frankenweenie" and although I think its charm came from the live action quality, I'm still looking forward to seeing it.

  • @PTSmash I am really anticipating the new Frankenweenie Stop-motion feature length remake

  • this movie is "postitve"

  • i love ed wood and i love this movie

  • i want to watch this movie, i need to know whether or not tim burton is as overrated as i think he is...

  • tim burton is really amazing

  • @astronettle I havent watched this movie but I had no doubts on it. Tim burton has got to be the best director I know ^_^

  • this, the okay.... try enable the CC... hhahahah

  • johnny depp is awesome

  • Such a good movie :)

  • I love this movie!

  • "Where my pink sweater?"

    (Ed turns away...)

    Haha love that:)
