@daoba992003 well, tibet controls all the fresh water source of every major river in China, and the little countries below China. Tibet has rich raw minerals and China is building another dam there. China also need Tibet as buffer against India so they won't be able to attack Yunan and Sichuan right at your door step.

@chemiphysics Actually, the residents of that village were given improved housing in other parts of the city. Some even demanded large amounts of money for compensation. I'd say in terms of freedom and fairness, those residents got a better deal than what native Indians get here in Canada. Each and every year construction is taking pieces out of their already crummy reserve land, and they get almost nothing in return.
