Testing out the Canon 5d Mark ii with a 50mm 1.4 USM Lens

I need help please is there a big diffrence between the 1.4 and 1.8?

@HeitzelSkatesAustin hi, from what i gather there is not a hge deal of difference between the two. The 1.4 lets a tad more light in and the bokeh is slightly better. The biggest difference is that the build quality is much better on the 1.4. If you have more cash to splash I would opt for the 1.4, but in terms of value for money, definitely the 1.8. It has been described as the 'best value lens ever'.

Heyy, my question is whether it is very, and i mean really difficult to get along with the manual focus of the canon 5d mark 2. I really consider buying the cam instead of an hd camcorder, but I heard that the canon mark 2 cannot replace typic cacmcorders. Why is this the case? Is the focusind and everything on this cam so comlicated? please answer, and tell me if you would recommend the eos 5d mark 2 for using it as a camcorder. Greets
