@bbcasting Are you kidding? this would be incredibly valuable for filmmakers and people just getting into film. De-constructing scenes is probably the best way to learn the technical side of lighting, camera moves, and composition. It is also a great catalysis for your own creative shooting style, giving you ideas and ways off approaching a shot that you haven't thought of before. They arnt looking to get rich off this, there is no need to be so negative if you dont like it dont give
@notsalad Don't give me this 'getting negative' bullshit. You don't know what the hell you're talking about. It's one thing to watch other movies and be inspired to create your own original content based on another film. It's another to try to re-create a scene. NextWaveG can't make a living as a filmmaker, so he's pushing this shit.
@bbcasting Look man im not tryin to hate on you or anything. I just find the most helpful things are often the "how its made" or "behind the scenes" features of movies that I like. Additionally tutorial videos on specific effects are amazingly helpful for color correction, visual effects, lighting, ect. In fact i cant think of any better way to teach someone methods of doing things. I think being able to accomplish the same look of a scene on a lower budget would be very helpful.
@bbcasting Although i should say you responding in such an aggressive manner is pretty unusual. Why get so mad they are asking you to support their site by buying there products? how else do you expect them to fund future projects?
Thanks guys a lot for teaching us so much! Question: Would you mind telling us what lavalier mic you used on this video and what audio set up? It sounds so crispy!
I like how he says hell be doing it on a cheap budget we can afford then says he needs money from us hehe..im not hatin i know what you mean it just sounded funny to me :p
I subscribed earlier this year and have really appreciated and enjoyed everything that you guys have done here! I am looking forward to this new series. Good luck getting to your goal!
why would you not do kickstarter? I would think it would be a much more effective fundraising method. I know the reason you want people to buy stuff from the store is to spread your name around but I still think kickstarter would be better.
@chattemer Most people use Kickstarter to fund products, films, etc. and have incentives like a DVD or discount on the product once it's done. Since Film Scene is a series which will be available free in the end, we didn't have much incentives to offer. Instead, we decided to push our store front so people can have something immediately upon making their donation/purchase.
@Dutchslothpwnr That was a set from pieces I used for Video Business 101. I also used a Source 4 Jr. with a metal gobo for the DVTV logo light on the background.
Neat idea but you're expecting people to pony up to fund your project?
Uh, no.

WHY??? What's the purpose? Honestly, it's a stupid idea. Why remake movie scenes?
I'm sick of people begging for money for their projects too.
