My wife and I are planning to visit Santa Barbara. We found this video the best of all the videos and info we have collected to plan our trip. We are impressed that this young man has the knowledge, know how and the civic pride to do a video...most kids his age would be doing something less constructive, while he just sold us to visit his city. I used to live in Santa Barbara after moving there from Los Angeles. SB is soooooo much more beautiful than L.A., it was paradise. Was disappointed when I had to move back to L.A. because of work. Think I'll return to S.B. soon...for good this time!

Those are not the foothills, that is the mesa. That is not what most would call "lower state." Also, did you ride ALL of that distance? SBHS to SBCC? dayum. Really excellent video. I really miss Santa Barbara and hope to move there in the near future. My grandparents lived there and my mom grew up there. It was always my "second home". Beautiful scenery and great weather - almost unequalled on the planet.

How's the water temperature in the summer? I keep hearing that Santa Barbara is as far North as you want to live if you want to swim in comfortable water--otherwise, any further North and the water is too cold.
