got it for £350. Not really a netbook, just a thin and slim notebook.
Weak point is the screen (poor viewing angles), stiff mouse buttons, weird dimple trackpad that takes a while getting used to, and some flex around the edges.
Nonetheless I love it. Huge battery life, good wifi, plays HD videos fine (except I Player HD for some reason), does everything I require from it, and flies with an SSD (old Samsung PB-22J). It's like a netbook+.
Cant wait for the Zacate netbooks to come out as well.
3:36 when he says he doesnt know what that button does, it loads up a linux based operating system which lets you do things like go online, skype calls play music. its good if you want to quickly do something as it boots up within seconds
You got so many laptop lying around. Do you play with every single one of them? BTW it's a laptop as you've mentioned on your detailed description but you kept saying it's a netbook.
it sort of is in a way but with the size of it it isnt. It doesnt come with a cd drive which no netbooks do and it is running one of the ultra low voltage processors that some netbooks have nowadays. But it is more of a laptop due to its size
I need a laptop with high battery life, and have been looking at this one. However, I need to be running several (up to 3-4) instances of Virtual PC on it, for network testing, school etc.
THAT's how laptops should be, small (12-14), and good battery life. i dont see the point having a laptop with 2 hours battery. THATS a laptop. after all the cpu doesnt define the speed, this has great chipset, ram and hard drive. dont let the clockspeed of 1.3 GHz foul you, it is still core2duo architecture and runs very good.
@sxcg Yeah, it's a far cry from Atoms. CULVs are really good processors. imo, that's what netbooks should have been in the first place (or better, the UL20A).
Now with Zacate coming out, netbooks will finally fulfil their potential. HD enabled and proper 3D acceleration, and with a decent multitasking and good screen res. And cheap (eventually).
THIS IS NOT A NETBOOK!!!! NETBOOKS 7" to 12"
NOTEBOOKS 13" to 17"

No, it's not pronounced A sus.
If people bothered doing research about things before claiming what they are...
It's asus (uh suhs)
