Minus the subscriber stuff, This is going to be a HD freeview player that matches almost eveything that Sky HD can do but it will also record & allow 'extract' of programmes; perhaps to play on your iPod. With the PS3 being soo powerful it is aiming to be the home entertainment hub for all media in the lounge. On top of it all the PSP will allow you to take some of this multi media capability out of the home. Like Xbox & Wii PS3 is a great games system, but unlike them it will be so much more.

besides they will probably charge you for the good channels in the first place nothing good is ever free -_- until sony tells me ill be able to cancell my cable subscription and use this to watch all of the channels free theyr sincerely wasting my time and money. sony word of advice focus more on good games and stop with so many applications, also where the fuck is HOME so many ppl waiting for it and what do they get

Is Electronic Program Guide (EPG) used in the USA? I am going to be in Spain later in the summer and want to buy one. But I dont want to get one if it will not work in the USA. I have Dish TV right now at my house and comcast at my apartment. Thanks!!!

I'ts about time Europe had something from Sony first. The rest of you guys better stop moaning considering the rest of the world gets stuff before us. we had to wait another 4 months in the UK for the PS3 and we was charged more for it but we dont moan. were just pleased the were getting something first :)

Nah, I think it's because american TV is still analogue whereas the EU is moving to digital TV for the HD revolution :)
