  • me encanta este video :) me suscribo a vuestro canal ;)

    I SUBBED YOU! ;)

  • Everybody was kungfu fighting literally

  • How long have these fighters been trained in martial arts?

  • Really Amazing Oo

  • I'm planing to purchase my first DSLR it's going to be T2i, can someone explain to me how to pick lens?

  • @MostlyGeek

Heya, depends on what type of work you'll be doing with the t2i. If you're shooting a lot of portrait photography I'd at least get something like a 50mm prime (1.8 or 1.4 if you have the money). If you're shooting wildlife or sports from far away get a zoom lens that goes up to 200mm or something close. Personally, I like to have 3 lenses available whenever I'm shooting action scenes. A 50mm prime, a zoom with 18-55mm, and a wide lens in the area of 10-20mm. Hope that helps!

  • @hybridmovement Its a brilliant video my friend. I have 2 questions. 1. Did you shoot the entire film with just one Cannon T2i? 2. How much does it cost?

  • @papan1990

Heya! We used two cameras, the t2i and the casio ex-f1 for some of the high speed shots in the intro. t2i is pretty cheap nowadays. I saw it w/ the stock 18-55 lens at the store for around 599.99. when i bought it in 2010 it was 999.99 :P

  • Amazing job! Not just by the performers but by the director as well. That took serious talent!

  • lol i was looking up fims shot with Canon 550D/600D and came up with this. I was amazed to see a such a high quality video shot at my school, SFU.

  • @Aryanpars

Thanks :D I love shooting at SFU. Great architecture :)

  • Can't stop watching!

  • Great video, guys! awesome moves!

  • WOW what great action! I bet this was inspired by a bunch of the great Jackie Chan and Jet Li movies… I love those! I just saw “Films of Fury” a little while ago and was so excited when it came out on demand because it has some really cool action scenes and clips from some of the best martial arts movies! bitly .com/uBGPir

  • You guys are sick, your moves and camera work is nice.

  • this is really good

  • daym that was cool!

  • This was dope! I'm a student filmmaker as well and about to purchase a T2i, and this video is very inspiring! Subscribing...

  • Mind blowing.

  • Clean stuff! Great work! What lenses do you use?

  • @mcHuckFinn 18-55mm 3.5-5.6 and 50mm 1.8

  • Excellent video!!! What fps did you shoot this in? You got some really smooth slow mos in there..also, what program did you use to create the animation in the beginning?

  • @dgatan

Mostly 24p for the bulk of it. The high speed shots were done with a different camera. Casio EX-F1. For the motion graphics I used Apple Motion.

  • Damn man.. I just bought a t2i.. but right now, I couldn't care less.. doesn't matter what you filmed that on it's brilliant!! What martial arts(sssss) do you guys study?

  • 3:10 street fighter lol

  • Twixtor?

  • @ectobuilder nah the high speed stuff was Casio EX-F1

  • really nice, but the camera is shaking too much :)

  • this is awesome!!! nice editing

  • That was amazing man, simply amazing!

  • these guys can hadcore dance!

  • @hydbridmovement LOVE THE CHOREOGRAPHY/MARTIAL ARTS IN THE VIDEO!!! I'm an independent filmmaker. I'm currently in development/pre-production for a short film I'm producing. It includes fight scenes (styles: Drunken Kung Fu, Jeet Kune Do, Vale Tudo, and sensationalized Pro Wrestling). Do YOU or anyone you know (actors/martial arts trainers) have any interest in being a part of the next great film? We can talk in more detail pending your response. SERIOUSLY THNX.

  • I love your camera and your moves! Subscribing...

  • That video it great! the fight scene looked so real aswell.

    Awesome work :)

  • Truly inspirational guys.

  • Hm, kid was tripping badly.

  • Asian People these days *SIGH*

  • Very nicely done, really enjoyed this.

A few questions about the filming. On some of the shots, there's a fisheye kind of look, like at 0:36 - did you do that in post or was it a natural result of the angle you filmed at and lens used (do you remember which lens you used for those shots?)

Second, for the slow motion shots, was the 60fps footage just slowed normally or did you use something like twixtor to blend frames?

    Thanks!

  • Tricking ftw!

  • wait is this real? That would be cool if you guys had classes in this.

  • I just watched this. I had to subscribe. This is one of the best videos i have seen...period. Everything was great. The fighting, stunts, editing, music selection, and message. This is Epic. Please keep up the good work.

  • Amazing Concept :)

  • amazing that you shot this on a $900 camera!

    great job

  • really nice quality + movie :)

  • Coolest video ive ever seen. ITS EPIC.

  • nNNicce...

  • Amazing guys!!!

    Great JOB!!!

  • Excellent work! Inspiring. I found this video searching for the T2i, and you've used it amazingly well. Congrats!

Out of curiosity, are you using the Magic Lantern firmware on it? The audio sounded a bit too clear to be using just the stock firmware.

  • @thisweekinlinux They probably recorded the sound with an external device. Which I would recommend, because the audio compression on the mic-in from the T2i is really, really, really, really noisy and BAD. And I do mean it. You can always buy a Zoom H1 for 100€ if you're serious about recording sound :)

  • @joaocorreiamedia that's an excellent point. of course I've seen quite a few videos done with the magic lantern firmware and this cam, and you can get some very decent results. it allows you to disable the automatic gain control built into the T2i. Not sure about the audio compression though.

    Thanks for the info!

  • @joaocorreiamedia

    Heya,

actually, we used the internal mic for this shoot. Although I do agree with you regarding getting an external mic. Just didn't have the money for it when we shot this :P

  • @thisweekinlinux

    Heya :)

Nope, no external mic and no magic lantern. all audio was taken straight from the internal mic in the camera :D

  • @hybridmovement Awesome! Thanks for the response. I actually ended up buying a T2i myself, and using an external mic (Rode videomic) and Magic Lantern, the audio is very, very nice. :)

    Keep up the great work!

  • holly shiitt that was too ill, fell inlove with the fighting scenes you should make more

  • @Majafakas

  • Seriously awesome vid! Thumbs up!

  • very good but maybe have more of a storyline and make it longer because it was awsome!

  • thanks for giving us the technical info, good vid!!!

  • Haaza! I must tell you as an over all entertainment package of your genre you reached an apex of: "Out (Expletive) Standing" I have not seen acting chops such as Etebong Banwell's in the industry. This young powerhouse of emotional expressiveness totally stole the scenes from all the action with his simply stillness. And I must confess that I was welling up to the point of a sudden shiver then water cascading down my face. May all your efforts be Blessed and all your Joys be Multiplied.

  • You crazy hipsters and your seriously unnecessary crazy walking!

  • @K1ndaB0red

    LOL! yes!

  • wow, that's awesome! I mean, are you really human? XD Though, I also would like to see the false takes where one of those kicks actually hit someone's face, I can't believe you did this without accidents, it's humanly impossible HAHAHA Nice work!

  • Of corse they use a scared little black kid. XD !

  • This video is dope. I haven't used that word in a long time. Respect all around

  • nice dude

  • Ahhhh Ouch... THis guys red t-shirt color is killing me... Haven't you noticed, that this color is bumping up so brightly that it looks terribly artificially? Aahhhh This saturation Is killing mee... (death sound)

  • RESPECT !!!

  • Loved the editing and cinematography!

  • This is bad ass... Def 5 stars.

The only problem i have is a couple continuity issues. but thats just cause I am a television major.

But amazing job with a hdslr

  • WOW this was phenominal!!! keep this up!!

  • 8 People like Martial Arts movies with Kung Fu named Karate....and don't know the difference between Japan and China.

  • asdaassddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMPPPPPPPPPPPHHHHHHHH

  • Nice cuts.

  • Pretty cool video.

  • Ha, nice wordle on the shirt. And good music choices.

  • I somehow missed this the first time around. Fantastic work guys. Beautiful filming, nice tricks, great fight sequences. Love it.

  • this is amazing guys :) nice work

  • AWESOME fighters, and you gotta have a very good cameraman to keep up with all the fast movements damn XD

  • Nikon D90 or this camera, the Canon EOS Rebel T2i? Please help I am trying to but a new camera for both video and picture taking

  • @specopsalphapaintbal

T2I if you're going to be shooting lots of video. The t2i has more options/functionality than D90 when it comes to video recording. Such as 1080P, 60fps @ 720p, manual shutter control, etc.

  • @hybridmovement Hmm, does the t2i have a slow-mo option? Me and my mate are shooting a skatevideo this summer and we need a camera... And if this one don't have a slowmo option, do you have any advice on one that has?

  • @specopsalphapaintbal do some research and watch all the videos that you can for the 550D/T2i and i think you will lean towards this camera, I just picked one up like 2 months ago... and im in love.

  • @isaacbsuttle

They're from the sound library in Apple Soundtrack (which came with Final Cut Studio)

  • how did you put in those 3d titles in final cut

  • @deone135

The titles and graphics were made in Apple Motion 4 and then imported into FCP

  • great you guys were like from another plannet

  • this is sick ! i specially liked the intro but its awesome all the way!

  • t2i or 3100

  • @painball658

t2i for sure. Nikon D3100 has no 60fps and no manual shutter control during video recording, both of which are deal breakers for me .

  • @hybridmovement I bought the T2i instead of the D3100... Made the best decision!

  • @JotaLegendOfficial

Good choice! :) Hope you enjoy it!

  • @hybridmovement Thanks!!! I am actually enjoying it!!

  • kinda wierd

  • Great video!!! I also have a T2i, just curious what lens did you films your fighting scenes with. I saw which ones you used in general but I wanted to know specifically for those shots.

  • @Kevo1114

I switched back and forth constantly during the fight scenes. I usually use the 50mm for any wider shot, and switch to the 18-55mm if I want to get super close to the action. However, if there's not a lot of light to work with, I'll use only the 50mm since it's f1.8 (downside is that there is no image stabilizer in the 50mm)

  • Wow very power man! I love how you guys made this movie with a lot of action, but still show sympathy to this film. I am a film student myself, and I do drama shorts that give a message kind of thing. I have the same camera you guys are using, and I can see many technics that this camera can do and hardly can wait to start being creative!

  • wow. this deserves 10 times the views i loved it im just beginning filming and tricking im twelve i hope i can be half as good as you guys at both awesome job

  • Damn! That little kid is better than me!
