BMW 760Li has 541(!) horsepower, thats enough to propel it from 0-60 in 4.6 (!!!) seconds. And the fuel economy is 21.7 mpg (about the same as the Lexus hybrid!). So basically with its superior handling and driving dynamics its a supercar compared to the Lexus (with same fuel economy), But if you don't need the power you can get a 41 mpg BMW 730d for less than 65000 bucks (it still hits 62mph in 7.2 seconds and 153mph).

I had two new MBs before repair and service frustrations prompted a visit to the Lexus dealer. I left with an LS and will never return to MB. A friend bought a 750iL and loved it for the first few months. He's looking at Lexus now, too. I do agree that the handling characteristics of both German makes are superior to Lexus, but I have found that the tire inflation pressures recommended for high-speed driving greatly improve handling in all driving situations.

I have always had a liking of the Lexus, it is the drama free way that it goes about its business. The LS430 is a gem, as is the LS460 and this is also something rather special. I have yet to see a rusting Lexus, yet I see plenty of corroding S class Mercedes of the early 2000-2004 and more than a few big BMW's with a host of technical issues and irritating trim failures that should not be present on an 60k+ gbp car. I've yet to see a single large Lexus with a single major mechanical issue

Mercedes Benz have innovated many safety and technological and comfort advancements such as adaptive cruise, airbags, sat nav, keyless go, massage, esp, pre safe, seat belt pre tensioners etc. So yes Mercedes are nice cars. No that's not true. I've both of cars even a BMW 750i but I think LS 600h is more Luxury and comf. More entertaining. The S600 have only 4 audio speaker. Only one LCD in the front. The ls600 have 2 LCD one at front n second one at back. LS have really silent engine even in Gasoline. I say LEXUS IS BEST FOR U.
Do you know why executives, ambassadors and presidents around the world prefer the S600 its because its much more reliable and spacious than any luxury executive!!

BMW 760Li has 541(!) horsepower, thats enough to propel it from 0-60 in 4.6 (!!!) seconds. And the fuel economy is 21.7 mpg (about the same as the Lexus hybrid!). So basically with its superior handling and driving dynamics its a supercar compared to the Lexus (with same fuel economy), But if you don't need the power you can get a 41 mpg BMW 730d for less than 65000 bucks (it still hits 62mph in 7.2 seconds and 153mph).
I mean really Lexus doesn't stand a chance

I had two new MBs before repair and service frustrations prompted a visit to the Lexus dealer. I left with an LS and will never return to MB. A friend bought a 750iL and loved it for the first few months. He's looking at Lexus now, too. I do agree that the handling characteristics of both German makes are superior to Lexus, but I have found that the tire inflation pressures recommended for high-speed driving greatly improve handling in all driving situations.

I have owned a Lexus LS600 (for wife) and an Audi s6 for me, and I have driven 7 and s class cars.
Lexus is boring, its ride feels "mushy"
Good reliability, but my Audi has minor problems once or twice a year.
My wife couldn't care less hehehe.

I have always had a liking of the Lexus, it is the drama free way that it goes about its business. The LS430 is a gem, as is the LS460 and this is also something rather special. I have yet to see a rusting Lexus, yet I see plenty of corroding S class Mercedes of the early 2000-2004 and more than a few big BMW's with a host of technical issues and irritating trim failures that should not be present on an 60k+ gbp car. I've yet to see a single large Lexus with a single major mechanical issue

Mercedes Benz have innovated many safety and technological and comfort advancements such as adaptive cruise, airbags, sat nav, keyless go, massage, esp, pre safe, seat belt pre tensioners etc. So yes Mercedes are nice cars. And yes Lexus are nice cars, but really, it's just a luxurious toyota.

No that's not true. I've both of cars even a BMW 750i but I think LS 600h is more Luxury and comf. More entertaining. The S600 have only 4 audio speaker. Only one LCD in the front. The ls600 have 2 LCD one at front n second one at back. LS have really silent engine even in Gasoline. I say LEXUS IS BEST FOR U.

I don't care if world leaders drive S600's, that doesn't matter. An S600 is flashier and gets more attention, just what a powerful world leader needs.

Lexus has copied technology, just like Mercedes, BMW, Audi, and every other car manuafacter in the world. Lexus has invented a lot of technology, not as much as Mercedes, but still a lot. Merc even copied Lexus' active front headrests and the driver attention monitor, so Lexus isn't the only one.
It really doesn't matter what you think anyway. You'll never be able to afford anything better than a C-class.

thats funny because the last i heard, it takes about 50+ years to make 1,000,000 miles, the Mercedes are built quality huh? is that why they require so much maintenance. Lexus also have really good residual value and they are more reliable. You are just angry because a lot of people like the Lexus over the Mercedes S55.

And do not say that mercedes requires a lot of maintenance because ALL CARS REQUIRE MAINTENANCE. In terms of value and sales, Mercedes decimates lexus in all areas.
That is why dignitaries and elite individuals prefer the Mercedes S600 (i dont know where you came up with the S55) over an overgrown, faulty electronics, overgrown CAMRY!!!

your justification for attacking Lexus is well shown in your arguement. You are claiming that the Lexus is an overgrown Camry, Just because it is made my Toyota does not mean it comes with the quality Toyota puts in their own marketed Vehicles. Lexus is a sector on it's own. And i got the S55 because it used to be called that for the last time in 2006 when i actually liked the way that model looked. im not making up shit here. i have had 3 lexus all with no problems. just got a bmw 750li and after exacly 10 days i had to bring it in because it wont start! dont get me wrong great cars, but they wont compare to the reliability to a toyota. if you dont like the car dont buy it, just dont bash another companies car because you like yours more.
