It's so hard to know the truth today. I've know scumbag employees, and seen scumbag bosses. I've seen the avg, lazy a-holes bitch about all bosses....because they are lazy. Most "workers" today don't do shit. Most "supervisors" do NOT supervise. Too little chance for promotion, too little discipline of the worst employees, lazy, unfair supervisors, too much bearing false witness, etc etc. You all watched Wallstreet and parroted "greed is good"...until YOU are it's victim. Grow up.
@kenfo0 Um, no. Postal workers are the most harrassed, followed, timed, watched, picked with, needled, pressured employees I have ever seen. They slow down or bullshit or call off because thats the only way they can fight back. When they speak out, upper bosses sic the low-bosses on you .
In fact, Letter carriers are a step away from violence everyday. They argue and fight with bosses about cheating them out of overtime, vacation time, sick time and a host of shit the publice cant know.
@Darth apply your "um,no." to your childish, idiotic rant. You have been in every workplace to make your determination? No, you have not. You are stating an opinion based on your experience, and it sounds like "sour grapes" experience.
I have worked and managed in several industries, and there are plenty of "tough gigs" out there. The diff is, these guys have good pay, good working conditions and GREAT benefits. Cry a river to someone else. Don't take all the benes if you won't work.
What are they serious? They think that race and veteran's status isn't true in what happened? It's so obvious! How did they find a gray area for that situation?
The only thing the post office is disappointed about is that they got caught. Unfortunately, the other 10000 times a day this happens goes unreported.
Discrimination of the disabled in the USA sucks ass, The US Postal Service will not deliver my mail because when I was a fire fighter I injured my brain (TBI) so I act about a fraction this bad, so call 1-800- ask-usps & ask why they discriminate against a TBI fireman in Cave Junction, Oregon or better yet call cave junction post office 541-592-3709 ask for Patty R. or Jeffry F. & ask why they discriminate against a disabled fireman @ this office, I DARE YOU!
I'm a US Army Veteran and worked for the USPS as a mail carrier for 20 years. They are currently $8 million in the red because management spends their time harassing employees rather than doing what doing what is best for the USPS. This video is a prime example but there many others!
I was harassed 6 years and suffered 3 mental breaks before I lost my job. The harassment got to the point they broke the law. Jan Pebley for the second time forced me on vacation; the first time I won my time back in arbitration. The second time I was denied my human rights. Because I am a person of color and Jan was white, it was written I made a mistake; what I wrote on the 3971 was not what I wanted. Despite me being paid for what I requested; Jan's words out weighted my written contract.
(USPS manager) Michael Jones stole $360 from me, held me back from having the opportunity of being promoted; and called me "Sweetheart" on a regular basis.
Farmington Hills former Postmaster Marlene Bowers retailated against me. Her and Pebley had friends in high places which allowed them to pull it off.
They tried everything within the law and failed; they broke the law and I lost my rights as a Human. The law sees me as less than human.
God is good all of the times; your inability to understand is something you should work on. I hate to learn that you was placed in the position I was without recourse. Someone like you would be forced
I am glad someone got justice and that it is being televised.
ACCOUNTABILTY IS KEY!!!
I am still hurting, what about me!!!! There is no statue of limitation for Human Rights violations.
I have a written contract (3971) that was verbally modified by a white women (Jan Pebley) and adhered to by everyone.
Classic case of white aganist black and the white winning because they are white; but the law say's you cannot modify a written contract and what is written is what must be honored.
EEOC Judge Mimi Gendreau in Michigan ignored the harassment I suffered at the Farmington Hills Post Office; Evidence showed that Jan Pebley modified a written 3971 and then came on the workroom floor hollering and screaming at me to take a vacation I did not want. Judge Paul Gadola allowed Nancy A. Abraham(USPS Attorney) to forged my name to a "Stipulation and Order to extend Discovery" after I would not grant her the extended time. Judge Avern Cohn treated me as less than human.
It's not soo much being above the law, it's more a matter of total control of any information going out. That and it's an enormous monster of an outfit, there is no judge, not even the government that could possibly exhaust the resources to unravel what happens inside the postal service. Hell....even the bosses fear one and other. it's all about cutthrout and going with the flow. It's a giant black hole. Be afraid. hehehehehehehe
Demand accountablity for the USPS also. What! the USPS is above the law? Judges Mimi Gendreau, Paul Gadola, Avern Cohn in Michigan showed me that they are?
STOP POSTAL SERVICE HARASSMENT!! DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY!!
