Just think of all the glittering bands we've had: Queen, Thin Lizzy, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, etc. Now what do we have?....Bloody Coldplay. No wonder I've been depressed since 1987.
@whitbyjet65 There is more great music out there now than ever. The problem is it seems everybody wants everything spoon-fed to them by radio and radio is there purely to make money. Check out 'Lonely Night in Georgia' by Marc Broussard, 'Just Friends' by Gavin DeGraw or 'Two Sisters' by Fiction Plane. They're not dressed up in the kind of 'glam rock outfit' that many of the bands you speak of are but nevertheless they're talented individuals all write great music.
@aammcc1234 Since when were Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy & Black Sabbath glam rock?????????????? You obviously don't have a clue what you're talking about.
@whitbyjet65 Glam was definitely the wrong word sorry, I have no idea why I put that there, just 'hard rock' would have sufficed. Just look on my channel before you have a go, I know a thing or two about music and I was trying to help you discover some good stuff that I think a lot of people need to know about.
@EdEmKay Ignorance? That's a rather melodramatic accusation, isn't it? Music is subjective. Just because I don't like what you like, that doesn't make me ignorant. Amazing how people these days resort to childish tantrums if they don't hear exactly what they want to hear.
@whitbyjet65 "the current music scene is diabolical", do you know how many bands or artists there are, how many genres are being played, invented, innovated, at all? any slight inclination? or do you just turn on the radio, throw a hissy fit, and travel back a few decades to make yourself feel better? go away, you're annoying me
@EdEmKay Oh the irony of it! You accuse me of having a hissy fit. Have you looked at your behaviour here lately? If you don't like what I say & think, just don't reply. It's quite simple. Now I'll let you get back to your 'hissy fit'. PS You know I'm right, that's why you're having a tantrum. The truth hurts.
@whitbyjet65 it's not irony, it's hypocrisy. "P.S you know i'm right" doesn't prove you're right, it just shows you using up characters to try and get a point across without evidence, as all you've done is tease me instead of retort to my argument. for that, i leave you.
@EdEmKay Oh you know I'm right. Your reaction is conclusive proof of that fact. At least you had the decency to admit you were wrong & if you ever want any advice at any point in the future, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm always willing to help the clueless people of this world.
@whitbyjet65 yeah, repeating the same thing still doesn't prove you're right... "conclusive proof" well go on then, what did my response give you evidence-wise that you're right? or are you just spouting random bullshit in the hopes i'll be intimidated enough to think that you're right? still haven't said anything to do with the argument, i am waiting.
@adventurewomen Oh I see. But the beauty is, music doesn't die, it lives forever. I have no interest in the current music scene but there's still so much to explore from the 60s, 70s & 80s, I'll be busy for decades.
freddie is the greatest front man i never got the chance to see ,queen played slane 1986 for one reason or another i didnt go i never in a million years thought i would never get the chance to see them again ,i still have the ticket in the attic ,totally gutted when he passed away in 1991 still he left a fantastic legacy behind him
ATTENTION all Queen fans,On September 5th, Freddie's birthday, we will be watching Bohemian Rhapsody repeatedly all day to boost its view count up to at the least 700,000,000 views. You don’t even have to listen to it. You can just keep playing the video back to back all the way through without sound. We’re doing this to compete with Justin Bieber's garbage music videos & to make Queen be heard across Youtube. Copy& Paste this across all Queen videos. Spread the word!
Being born 1993 I really hope someone would invent a time machine so I could go watch this live...there is just iron maiden and some few left only...Queen<3
@Lizco93 I'm so sorry for you.....you missed out on some of the GREATEST Rock and Roll of ALL time my friend. It will never come this way again. I was born in 63' and lived this music, but that makes me 30 years older than you... so who has it better now? Thank god for youtube and cataloged music.
Freddie Mercury.Brian May..Roget Taylor.John Deacon..you lived up to your name...Queen. Freddie chose this name in part cause it was regal..powerful..something absolute..this is Queen.4 men each a musical genius..masters of their craft. I consider myself fortunate.to have seen them live 3 times..they were amazing.from the first cord...to the first note of Freddie's...clear. perfect voice..you were taken on a musical journey.Their music will live on..Freddie.was a gem may he RIP
Wow....the energy that goes into one of these performances is incredible. Freddie always gave everything at these concerts and so did Brian, Roger and John. It almost seems superhuman of him. I hope it was all natural because his health was already at risk at this point. I wonder if he was already HIV positive at this point. Wish I could have told him to slow down and take better care of himself. Love you forever Queen! Best Band! Best Frontman Ever!
@MsSweetunes It is probable Freddie was HIV+ at this point in 1986 because he was diagnosed with full blown AIDS in 1987. He may have caught HIV in the 70s or 80s but we will never know. HIV can remain dormant in your body and there are no symptoms. You also mentioned Freddie was "superhuman". I agree. When he found out he had AIDS he still performed with Montserrat Caballé, which was his last stage performance and he sang his last song Mother Love beautifully knowing he was dying soon.
Wow if i heard this live, i mean, i wouldent walk the next day...i would rock all day, no,,,I WOULD ROCK ALL DAAAAYYYY AND NIGHTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ONE VISION !!!! MAGIC !!!
