This game rocks and it's one of the greatest games that I have for the PS3 system too. It's so awesome. MGS4 is one of my most favorite PS3 games so far as well as one of my most favorite MGS games in the series. MGS4 is such a great masterpiece. My most favorite act or setting was Act 4. Act 4 of MGS4 is my most favorite part. Going back to Shadow Moses Island rocks and it always makes me feel like playing MGS1 and MGS: The Twin Snakes again too. :)

Come to think of it, the Gekko scene reminds me of zombie movies- people fighting the antagonists seem completely oblivious to latter's vulnerabilities even though they probably shouldn't have (Gekko has been in widespread use by the time MGS4 takes place...... someone ought to learn to shoot the Gekkos in the legs...... at least, IIRC, Ocaton is observant enough to remind the players as much).

However, Metal Gear Solid 4 gives you more options on how to progress through the game, and the stories are usually good (though again quite bloated), and the game in general has...an eccentric personality.

On a fundamental level, yes, it's the same type of game. The controls are also more complex than Splinter Cell.

Yes, piece of shit ak-47s and if the m-16 rifle is so "unreliable" then why have they been in use since the 1960s? Youtube has a video of the ak-47 vs the m-16 and the m-16 won. The test where performed by two un-biased professionals. The barrel on the ak is weak very weak and a slow motion caption captured how the barrel shakes and bends when it is fired giving it horrible accuracy. Dude, I want you to compare how much a Xbox 360 disc can hold to how much a BlueRay DVD (which is what the PS3 runs) can hold. If and only if MGS4 came out for the 360, you would have more discs than even the older Metal Gears for the PS2 and PSX (I had a guesstimate of about 15 discs, but I could be way off.)

Hideo Kojima did the right thing by putting it on the PS3, even though it was a disappointment to me as well due to the fact that I'm a MGS fan as well and I own a 360.
