The whole point of the songs is that it takes the character out of 1881... the songs aren't written in the style of 1881 they're written in a current day style to make then easy for the audience to relate to. So why not use hand mics... and the head/button mics are there for dialogue and moments when its not possible to get the handhelds on stage.

I've heard her sing more than "My Junk", and she has a seriously beautiful voice. It has a little girl quality to it, and she sounds very young (which is great for the role of Anna). But what's ironic is that she's the oldest female in the cast!

Well that's a little harsh. I like her Blue Wind, it's very soft and pretty.

I HAVE heard more than Blue Wind (and Dark I Know Well and all the other songs that Ilse sings). She's good at Ilse but it's not really her...type. If you don't like her voice, then sure, okay. But you don't have to be so harsh to the point saying that she sounds like a dying cat.

It's funny, I actually don't think they REALLY look all that much alike if you really look, but it's just Lea's voice, mannerisms, and her general acting style is very reminicent of Idina I think. And so, since she does have a similar look, it's really enhanced by how idina-like she is otherwise.
