  • chris is being a major dick since his divorce

  • @potanda i agree

  • I only got my iPod Touch April 10th this year and its already obsolete :^(

  • Your a Dick. Not everyone has money to upgrade(or gets free stuff).

  • what load of bullshit

  • Lockergnome can't you moderate the comments? Sick of reading the f word in the comments and haven't yet worked out how to block such comments since Youtube changed the site.

  • if these damn things are upgrading so fast make them cost less couse i only get bragging rights for 2 weeks that i have the coolest phone, so fuck phones i just bought and ipod touch i get free phone and text. FUCK U AT&T FOR HAVING THE MOST EXPENSIVE SERVICE EVER AND MAKING ME PAY $100 FOR MOBILE INTERNET A MONTH, MY ACCTUAL INTERNET THAT IS 60000000000000 TIMES FASTER COSTS HALF THAT

  • ya but up to windows 7, Vista sucked so most people out there when and bought xp less buggy then vissta was

  • @dirtmaster I watched the video, my point wasn't that the 3GS wasn't better. My point is that the 3G is perfectly capable of running a background. I also think that Chris saying Apple shouldn't support hardware that is one generation old was wrong. That was my main point.

  • I agree that there is a point where upgrading becomes a necessity (although I usually end up waiting entirely too long). If the hardware still works as advertised when you bought it, then you really don't have much to complain about. Still, I get the frustration when something new comes out RIGHT after you've purchased a new device.

  • apple made 4.0 incredibly un-nesessary. everything you can do on 4.0 you can still do on 1.5+ jailbroken. and jailbroken is compatible with all devices. apple should learn from its users. thumbs up if you support jailbreaking and backwards compatibility :D

  • Use linux, problem solved. Lets have conical make drives and we can then use fluxbox on our Iphone's and Ipod Touches.

  • It's just question of the time once the iphono os4 installation will be cracked...

  • Funny how people complain about this. On most other phones you can't upgrade the OS at all!

  • Will it be fare? What if I bought a 3G recently (before the new iPhone OS system was released to the public) and sign a 2 year contract with AT&T (no option there!!! Some of us had to change a better cell phone company just because the iPhone). Now I have a brand new phone that I wont be able to update because it wont work properly. If I would like to change to a new iPhone AT&T states that I am not eligible to upgrade at a discount price. I WILL HAVE TO PAY FULL PRICE.

  • @quiles26 I WILL HAVE TO PAY $499 FOR THE SAME iPhone THE 3G 16G...

  • i cant even afford an iphone!

    LOL

  • I see little pooint shelling out 200 - 500 for a mobile device thats going to be obsolete in 2 yrs - unusuable in 3-5 yrs - that may be the price you pay - i wont.

  • Simple answer, just dont buy apple products, they all too often have shorter times between "REQUIRED" upgrades to continue use.

  • @TUXXrushu That's not true. Mobile devices yes, but as a whole all mobile devices are like that. Macintosh computers often outlast their PC equivalents.

  • @TUXXrushu "REQUIRED" upgrades?? I don't see you needing to upgrade all the time to use OS X... If you have even a mid-2007 Mac you can run Snow Leopard and probably not need to spend more for the next one coming out.

  • were not rich like u chris

  • I did the same thing. Then i got a 3GS.

  • the first gen can handle multi tasking just fine so can the 3g

  • 4.0 will be sweet less reason to jailbreak.. should be good for the new iphone and the ipad especially

  • This guy is hypocritical hey goes of and puts down windows when they force a upgrade then goes and puts apple up on a pedistal. and another thing is at&t terrrrrrribbllle network terrible go verizon much much better

  • @triorthedominator Maybe that's because Windows skipped from needing a 233MHz processor to needing an 800MHz one (XP to Vista).... 64MB of RAM to 512MB.... Yet a lot of machines that could run Mac OS 9.2.2 could run up to Tiger 10.4.11. So that actually DOES make a little sense.

  • @DeltaPhi79 Exactly, plus the upgrades are a lot cheaper. Snow leopard is $30 compared to Windows 7 which is much more.

  • @obiwan177 lol you think its cheaper? look how much more a mac is vs a pc thats all included in the price man they get you even years later

  • @2DGUNNY Yeah short term its more expensive. But long term its not. Macs are 50% more expensive but last 100% longer. Not only that, but they continue to work well during that entire time, and you aren't cursing at it constantly. That's definitely worth something.

  • @obiwan177 that's a bullshit misinformed comment. Lenovo Thinkpads last LONGER than macs....much longer. They also last through future hardware and software advances, unlike macs. Check your info

  • I need to upgrade my phone, my pc hate Apple software except for iTunes.

My phone is Motorola and I'm thinking about getting an iPhone just because of the obvious advantages it ha over my outdated mobile!

  • i like how microsoft is so backwards compatible. But... I dont like that they still SELL these old operating systems.

  • @bwillwall Microsoft is backwards compatible because it is backwards.

  • @obiwan177 actually, yeah the hardware isn't supported, but still microsoft understands the way people think. Especially if you recall the Vista situation before Microsoft's "Patch Adams" routine. Some people either can't afford to upgrade or simply DON'T TRUST NEW TECHNOLOGY SO READILY.

I'm slow to upgrade too, but it's less a trust issue and more an issue with money, right now(when I make it big, the money won't be an issue and I'll get everything ASAP....LIKE CHRIS DOES.)

    think about it.

  • Stupid 13 year old kids calling Chris to make themselves look cool.

  • @MohoFlaggins how do they look cool by calling chris?

  • Not all of us have the $200 every time to upgrade to their phones.

  • @itsjustinleon then dont buy a new phone ?

  • @itsjustinleon Yet a lot of those people have $1000+ for a gaming machine.

  • @itsjustinleon

You do when you sell your old iPhone. Provided you're not a fucktard and you keep it in moderately good condition.

  • solution dont buy apple

  • Consume, consume, consume, buy! buy! buy! Come on lemmings you heard him!

  • HE GOT TOLDDDD !!!

  • I miss the simplicity of iPhone OS 1.0.......

  • this is true, complaining the new OS doesn't work for old things is like complaining that windows 7 doesn't run on a computer you bought with 95.

besides, anyone who really wants the things OS 4 has can just jailbreak and get about the same things.

  • its overheating? Get away from it, people have already died due to exploding iphones and ipods.

  • @predeturd Yeea.. I Heard about that !!

  • i multitask on my ipt 2g

but if i multitask more than 3 apps it goes into safe mode

  • You have no grounds

  • I saw a developer with the iPhone 3G 4.0 and it multi tasked

  • @robnaj no it must have been a 3gs... apple sed in the keynotes that 3g wont have multi-tasking. but 3gs will

  • @jratnerd No it was 3G he said he did something to make it work plus a number of webpages have iPhone 3Gs with multi Tasking.

  • bought a couple years ago??? they stil sell the iphone 3g and francly (<dnt knw if i used that word in right area :S) i have bought a 3g just a moth ago and im very fortunate for that...

  • 2 operating systems try 1.1 vista was never a full os

  • For right now, I think I'll stick with the Android OS.

  • I think Apple stop a little too early. I'm an Apple fan and I dislike Microsoft, but recently I've noticed stuff about Apple, that are hidden, but more evil than Microsoft.

Things like this, WILL put the iPhone behind, and they are at the head of the game right now, but everyone is trying to beat them, and with Apple not making it so the update wont work on older models...they will just fall, and they don't have much to fall on but cheaper prices.

  • fail

  • show Apple what you can do with older products... JAILBREAK! my iphone3g multitask!! and i have a custom everything lol

  • PWND

  • When Vista came out, Chris complained that his scanner and printer wouldn't work...Why didn't he upgrade???

  • @racc2 Because he's a hypocrite.

  • @racc2 That's different. A scanner and printer breaking just because you move on to a new OS? That is just rediculous.

  • @BarricadeSlade Yeah but conflicting drivers wouldn't... maybe that's what whoever made the comment meant?

  • you can always jailbreak your phone....

  • its not as bad as the ps3 upgrade that if u do it you lose other os and if you dont you lose psn

  • @lloyds30 Thats a games console, but an iPhone is also a business phone. These updates might be required.

  • @moviesunrated and if they are required you would buy a 3gs because lets face it if you've got the money for an iphone your not exactly poor i dont even know anyone with one

  • so you bought something old and want the new features for free is what you are trying to say?

  • wow haha loli agree with chris...

  • Well said chris :)

  • I bet u apple could have enabled mulit tasking on the iPhone 3G they just didn't want so that ppl could buy the 3GS or the 4G one this summer. Smart bastards

  • 'You can't get backgrounds on your iPhone 3G'... uhhh yes, you can, heard of blackr1an.. dumb little shit head who knows nothing about iPhones, iPhone 3G's can operate mulitasking, - just jailbreak. the guy on the phone is a fag

  • @InteractiveCore blackra1n doesn't work on 4.0 you STUPID FAG

  • @oskArtist lmfao, your so retarded its unbelievable...

search on youtube iPhone 3G mulitasking

wow, you spack, ahahahah you probably dribble i feel sorry for your parents for having such a spack like you

  • @InteractiveCore lololol they used redsn0w not blackra1n you dumbfuck

  • @oskArtist same fucking thing, fucktard, its still 'jailbreaking' fucking el-re-tardo

  • @InteractiveCore Touché lolololol

  • the 3g can handle both background pics and multi tasking..

  • Everyone does no that the 3g has a 600mhz underclocked to 412 and 128 mb of ram that is enough to run xp let alone multitask. Also if its getting hot its either because the screen isnt turning off or somting is wrong with the battery. Just one more thing, someone explain to me why the iphone 3g will not get wallpapers its a static image for crying out loud.

  • @webduelist No I heard that the 3G definitely wont get Multitasking, and maybe other things, doesn't mean 3G wont get Wallpapers.

  • @moviesunrated I know but my argument is that if windows xp can run on those speeds it should be able to multitask, the hardware supports it and that is where chris is wrong, its not a hardware problem its apple refusing to support older devices so people have to buy a new phone, also the iphone 3g os 4 beta does not have wallpapers unless you jail break and turn them on and ontop of that while your in there you might as well turn on the multitasking which is possable

  • @webduelist Yeah I completely agree with you, but I know for sure Multitasking isn't available, but Wallpapers might be. So some features wont be on 3G, and we know that Multitasking wont be, some might not be either. But I'm pretty sure Wallpapers will be included.

  • @webduelist You're dumber than sin.

Windows XP requires an INTEL OR AMD PROCESSOR TO RUN!!!! YOU ARE A FUCKING RETARD! We are talking about a motherfucking MOBILE LOW VOLTAGE processor with barely enough ram for anything. Get an education, dumbfuck.

  • @BarricadeSlade before you go and say other people are idiots, do some research, amd and intel are not the only cpu manufactures out there, you can get a VIA chipset, get an education :)

  • @BarricadeSlade uh im not saying run xp on it idiot im saying that if windows was coded for it has the specs to run xp, there for to my original point the iphone 3g can multi-task.

  • Unfortunately this is a major side effect of a throw away society. Many people can't afford to upgrade. So fundamentally I am never keen when companies force users to upgrade hardware unless they are going to get substantial benefits.

  • xp isn't that bad of ab os. i use it some times, main one i use is ubuntu. and 7 for gamez

  • this is Bull Shit!!

look i dont like M$ but when M$ released Vista, a new OS "tomorrow OS," everybody was complaining that it wasn't working on their 5 year old Windows XP!!!! A lot of people hate vista because its not compatible with their old computer, you know what you are right! They should just F*in upgrade and stop whining! Thats the real world, isn't it?

  • @cleveer0719 omg some one agrees with me i feel the same way. JUST GET OVER IT AND UPGRADE (BECH) lol

  • some of us didnt buy the iphone 3g 2 years ago... if its so outdated why do they still sell them new !? if you are still selling something new it should be compatible with any software upgrades

  • You dumbasses saying Chris is being bias because he is "rich"... If you can't afford these things, don't go buying them. It's simple, if you need more money, the last thing you should be doing is buying a fricken Itouch, or IPhone.

    Shit...

    inb4 lame excuse

  • @DadidiWTF No such thing as an iTouch.

And it's very likely people are able to afford one iPhone, but not TWO. They can afford to buy the iPhone they use, but not to buy one iPhone then spend some more when the next generation is launched. Lastly, have you heard of the recession, maybe?

  • Jailbreak it, install Backgrounder, profit.

The "OMFG NO JAILBREAK ITZ BAD" people in the chatroom are clearly retarded. Jailbreaking is the best thing to happen to Apple's devices, as it allows for truly useful apps to be released.

  • @MegamanEXEv2 Are you a Retard? No seriously...because when people say its bad, they don't mean they're scared of getting caught, they don't want their FUCKING IPHONE TO GET BRICKED THEN THEY CANT HAVE IT FIXED BECAUSE APPLE WONT LET THEM.

  • @moviesunrated You can't brick your phone...clearly you have no idea what you're talking about. Get the fuck out troll.

  • @MegamanEXEv2 No you don't know what you're talking about. If you Jailbreak, it could get bricked and that basically breaks it.

  • @moviesunrated No, you can't. Again, troll, get the fuck out. You can only brick your phone if you do something outrageous with the access you are given to the software.

What you don't realize is that there are many, many professional developers for Cydia and Rock applications, and they use the same SDK as everyone else, they just by-pass Apple communist app submission process.

  • @MegamanEXEv2 I'm not Trolling. My friend told me that if you Jailbreak your iPhone it could cause it to get bricked, I dunno how, but cause could mean going onto an App that isn't right.

  • @moviesunrated Fact of the matter is, you're friend clearly has no expertise in this field, and should probably keep his mouth shut, and you shouldn't listen to him. If he has a problem with that, here I am.

Jailbreak your phones, kids. Multitasking problem solved.

  • @MegamanEXEv2 Meh, watch this video how to Unbrick, thats proof that it can get bricked - watch?v=DOtq7M14zoE

  • @moviesunrated Dated June 21, 2008. The jailbreaking process has changed 100 times since then.

  • @MegamanEXEv2 Well, read some of the comments, people obviously wouldn't be commenting about Unbricking it if they dont need to.

  • @moviesunrated Again, that is NOT a bricked phone, that is a phone that is just fine, and how to put it into DFU Recovery Mode. That means they were idiots and somehow jacked up their software, NOT brick their phones.

  • @moviesunrated In addition, that is NOT a bricked phone. All that kid showed was how to put the phone into DFU recovery mode. That constitutes corrupt software, NOT a bricked phone.

  • @moviesunrated thats not gonna brick your phone, and even if you manage to somehow brick it its easy to unbrick via itunes

  • Innovation stops being innovation when it forms an obstacle for the people using the product in question. These devices are functional devices, not toys you get tired of. And for the price it sell for, neither should you see it as such.

  • I think apple dont make enough effort to make things compatible with older hardware. Especially when you can easily multitas on any iPhone or iPod touch generation when you jailbreak it. They only limit it through GREED.

  • @rads1uk The fact is, 4.0 just would NOT work as well on older hardware, and Apple is a company that will not tolerate things that don't work well. Its not effort, its choice.

  • load of shit chris

  • Additionally 3Gs is not a additional generation,They still sell the 3G with a 2 year contract, you should be able to run the new update, you will have the stupid phone for 2 years!

I m sorry..but android phones will never have this problem

The iPhone is poorly cooled, the 3Gs still only gets a 600mhz CPU,The droid eris get 530mhz and does multitasking. The HTC incredible is ~$200(Same as 3Gs) for a 1GHZ CPU,twice the ram,8 MP camera, twice the resolution, and no being outdated in a year.

  • @RCSonicjet not being outdated in a year? Hello? HTC Evo 4G?

  • @chaos850 Software outdated,BTW they have basically the same hardware.

  • @RCSonicjet Dude, the Evo has a front facing camera, dual LED flash, a kickstand and a 4.3 inch display.

  • yeah someone that is really broke needs i iphone... if you want one and can get one if not live with it.

  • Completely agree with Chris. Make the upgrade or stop the complaining.

  • CHRIS!!!! Its ok for you american, iphone 3GS =$199 in the england its like £446 (which is nowhere near a similar price, its a fuckin rip off) WE need them to last years not just until the next model FFS

  • @zikalify its $199 contract in the US for certain contracts, and its £446 for pay as you go in the Uk. so its not a rip off to the extent you put it

  • @JaMesJC112 oh right, so in the usa can u get it on PAYG? if so how much?

  • @zikalify no u cant, put they still pay between 30-90dollars monthly depending on the contract type on top of the 199 upfront..

  • @zikalify No, the $199 price is for Contract, we can get 3G S for £179 on contract. The £446 is Pay As You Go.

  • I disagree with nearly everything with Apple they are too harsh and they need to get their brains in the right direction.

  • "You Should Upgrade Your Hardware"

^ that's what I told my girlfriend and she went and got implants.

    Thanks Chris!!!

  • This is something you should have said to the idiots that said Windows Vista sucked when they tried to run it on like 4 or 5 year old machines. XD

  • Apple is full of bullshit to be honest. Mobile industry or not Apple upgrade their stuff way too fast, or at least in a way that means instead of upgrading parts, or trading in your old Apple products for the new ones, you have to outright buy the new ones. Which would be okay after, what, 2,3 years? But a few MONTHS? Come the fuck on! I'm glad I chose to stay away from the iPhone/Pod Touch because of this stupidity.I am not made of money Apple. My 2007 Macbook needs an upgrade but I've no money.

  • I think it's fair to say that you should give customers the opportunity to upgrade to upgrade but not indirectly force them if they want the new features. When I just about all the money I have on a phone I don't want to buy a new one every time some new features comes out just to take advantage of them.

I think that the reason why stores still sell Windows XP is because it works for so many people and so many systems, you don't have to have the lastest and greatest and you're not missing out.

  • @0ssu it would be nice if a multi-billion dollar company could do both -_- i'm saying the Multi-tasking, sure i'll give them that, but honestly i've been looking to change that plain background for a year and a half now, and it'd be nice if I didn't have to jailbreak it to do it, especially since we all know its capable.

  • CHRIS IS A SHEEP OR A GOAT!

LOOK AT HIS FACE IT SAYS PHEE PHEE I A I A just mute the volium and look at his gaot sheep face

  • I'm sorry but I agree with Chris. In the mobile world the technology changes so fast that as soon as a phone is announced it is out-of-date. Processors are becoming smaller day by day, battery technology is improving and so are many things. I am not surprised that Apple is doing this but I am slightly annoyed as I will have to go and get an iPod Touch 3rd Gen to use for development.

  • I have to agree with chris... if your hardware is out-dated and you want the new software you gotta upgrade..no other way around it... its NOT consumerism at its worst..its a mobile device not a full desktop system...the mobile market is drasically changing and innovating... making the new software compatible with 1st gen iphones would be a total set back for the software and the new iPhone

  • I don't think its right that they stop supporting, I think the fact that you can't change the background is un-exceptable, I mean XP came out a long ass time ago, i agree, but the iPhone 3G it hasn't even been 2 years yet, I mean common, I'm not asking for the world here, just a little bit of co-operation. The problem with Apple is that they release new shit EVERY year, you can't keep upgrading they should make things that last.

  • xp ftw fuck anything else fuckers

  • I am so mad, iphone doesn't support 8-track tapes OR vynal records! boycott iphone! LOL I'm just kidding.

New technology is coming out sooner every time, until they hit a bottleneck that causes a temporary pause, that;s when lots of people buy.

  • @guest2424 "It's all about the pentiums" song by Weird Al, look it up, it will answer your problem. v=qpMvS1Q1sos

  • So on the iPhone 3GS with iPhone OS 4.0 you can get custom backgrounds on the springboard, Though you can not with the iPhone 3G. A basic feature like this can not be included? Lol Apple, You are a joke.

  • Hey Apple people time to watch iPad Tortured to Death

    watch?v=OyEhWeAseSo

  • if the new iphone does not have a hd 4.3" screen, a hd 8 megapixle with flash camera, 1ghz processor, thats it for me from apple. im going to switch to a hd2!

  • wtf

  • im JUST saying: iphone 2G ...jailbroken...have all the features of 4.0 but there called different things YES including multitasking and guess what...it runs fine rare freezing but thats bout it

  • it's impossible for the 3g to multitask, I mean it has a really crappy processor, it's only clocked at 300Mhz, the 3gs is clocked at 600 mhz, the new Iphone might be clocked at 1 Ghz.

  • I´m not complaining really, but (I bought my 2G ipod Touch just 3 months ago in a store), I have a problem with apple not enabling the wallpaper function, no one on the planet can tell me that a 2G iPod Touch cannot handle a jpeg in the background! ^^ Anyway, Chris has a point there, but, I´ll stay with my 2G as long as its supported! :)

  • I never wanted to use a jailbreak, but, if the wallpaper is still not available in the final build of OS4.0 then I guess I have to do it, even if its just for a simple wallpaper! :/ I could´ve used a jailbreak earlier, but, since you can install software without paying the developers ... I thought its not fair to them personally, so, I never used a jailbreak! :/ Anyway, just me! :) Good vid Chris, thumbs up!

  • That's being real hypocritical Chris. I mean in your older videos you were bitching so much about how Vista was not compatible with some printer you had that was "old" and now you turn around and just say well its OK if Apple does it with their iPhone. Either you have reconsidered the idea of backwards compatibility or you just give Apple too much credit. I think the latter. Either way you are an OK guy but not very knowledgeable in technology.

  • upgrading every couple of years is a natural progression of technology but its getting so flooded with new stuff nowadays every 6 months or so means you never get value for money out of it if its obsolete in a year, and it aint cheap.

  • Yeah, i'll upgrade.... To an android.

  • @diotecktec2 hahahaahahaha

  • multitasking is on the 3g has been for years

  • yesterday was very funny chris, and the ramen noodles lolz next time cook them and put water

  • Comment removed

  • 300th veiwer

  • wow, chris is not a people person (asshole)

  • Chris, the hardware is only one generation old. That is not the point at which Apple should give up. In fact, if he bought one late, then his contract may not be up yet. Apple should support backgrounds for the 3G because there isn't a logical reason it shouldn't. Backgrounds are not going to eat processor or memory. The hardware difference between the 3G and the 3GS isn't that huge.

  • so just jailbreak it to get the background to change

  • This noob was a little rude to the damn caller. I hate rude fucks like this.

  • "You should upgrade your hardware."

    You should give me money.

  • The main reason why some windows PCs still ship with XP is that Microsoft's Vista sucked.Microsoft realised that the new OS wasn't working properly and therefore they still sell XP, it was and still is a smooth operating system.

  • @NielswaitingforMBpro And plus Vista is so bloated that it can't run on netbooks, so MS is FORCED to keep selling XP.

  • @NielswaitingforMBpro "still is" You're fucking retarded, sir. Have a good day.

  • I have an iPhone 3g running REAL multitasking with backgrounder and proswitcher and my battery life is great and it rarely is slow! Apples watered down multitasking would work fine and especially custom backgrounds.. They obviously just want you too buy the new hardware..

  • Chris the problem is that I got my iPhone less then a year ago and now its going to be 2 models old in only a year? As a new iPhone will be out soon to.. Apple upgrades to much they need to take a break. Every year they make a model for EVERYTHING. Just like how I paid $400 for my iPhone and then a month later its only $100..

  • Apple at it's best, like how they made us switch from rectangular iPods, to square iPods to rectangular iPods. Apple needs to grow up and learn that they can never control the market unless if they have universal functionality such as gaming, multi-tasking and compatibility to every program ever created!

  • Not everyone is rich Chris. Some people are actually being effected by the recession.

  • @seanoc123 And NOT buying stuff is totally helping the economy *rolls eyes*

  • @seanoc123 Aaaaaamen - that's why I haven't gotten an iPad, haven't gotten any other Mac products after my iPod, and am watching a lot more closely where my money goes. College is a killer...a Mac vs. my tuition -> something's gotta give! lol

  • @seanoc123 I know right and Apple isn't good when it comes to pricing very excpencive, that's why I got a Windows notebook price is low and it doesn't bring out a bew one every fucking 6 months. They should make all there software backwards compatilbe (ITUNES!!) it will save every ones time and money.

  • @seanoc123 i agree with you not everyone is rich i know I'm not.

  • Hahaha it seems like the overall message for this video is upgrade go out buy the newest thing it'll be replaced soon but you know whatever and if you cant afford it too bad imagine if every company took that stance buy the new iphone its got some slight new tweaks u know totally worth investing more money were not all rich apple and has anybody noticed how cold Chris is getting? as crazy pro apple everything ipad having that choppy crappy camera set up

  • i have a motorola and guess what i nvr had a software update in 2 years and i dont mind at least apple is bringing new stuff to there phones and how many of you really need multitasking i use my phone to call txt and search the web thats it, i have a laptop for everything else

  • lol the thing is the iphone 3g and 2g touch can easily support multitasking, apple is just being jewish. fine if there were actual limitations, but there really aren't....

  • @LastGenStudio There really are limitations. The difference between the hardware of the 3G and 3GS is HUGE! Sure, it's easy to implement multi-tasking on a 3G but your device will be slow, cumbersome and the battery life will be terrible.

It's just logic. iPhone OS apps are hardware intensive. Apple wants to preserve the great user experience and quick response associated with the iPhone, so naturally they won't implement multitasking on devices that can't handle it. It would be suicide.

  • the IRS is looking at you CHRIS... <.<

  • all i got to say is screw you ichris & micro$oft icrap is over priced over rated same with micro$oft.i know to never invest too much $ into hardware couse 1 2 years down the road your buying new to support either Icrap or micor$oft im about to say screw it and switch to ubuntu

  • What do you guys do with your old macs? PC parts are largely replaced, but what about when new "macware" comes out? Phones, laptops, desktops... What do you do with it?

I think Chris made a subtle point about Apple. It's freak'n expensive! If you can't afford it and have to go the pc route don't feel bad about that! However, I do love my iphone :)

  • Chris you are such a great guru!!
