hell, everyone is picking on this poor cop. you guys are all saying what a dumb fuck he is etc, but cops are NOT (in general) idiots. i think the escapee did match up....IN SOME WAYS. cops are human too y' know and this paricular cop was just having a bad day. it happens to us all, not just cops. there are certain times in your life that you get an impossibly lucky break and this con got his on this day. and this same cop would protect you in times of danger, try not to forget that.
Oh I forgot to add that he gave the police officer two cities that he lived in Pineville and Titusville, neither of which exist in the state of Louisana. So to sum. No ID, No address, matched the suspect to a tee, 2 different names, ,2 different cities, living in a hotel, working on roofs all day and jogging down railroad tracks after a hot day at the office and this stupid ass cops lets him go. And the worst thing is that the police department supported the officer and his actions

I used to work with Carl at BPD. I would have had someone from the prison respond to check the guy out for themselves. Thats all I have to say about that.
Okay, how dumb can a cop be. He gave 2 different names. I don't know what they call that in Louisiana, but around here we call that a CLUE! That cop should be fired.
