The beta had a much darker feeling to it. Im glad Valve made alot of the changes they did, but its still a shame that another great universe got thrown away, and were never going to see things like the Cremator, or the old Combine Elite and the Air Exchange etc.

The actual Beta files? No way.

Current source models are v42 or something of the sort. The beta's are around v37.

So unless you have some sort of file converter, there's no way you can get Beta models and maps to work with any current source applications.

Can you please tell where you got the beta? Im have the Russian HL2 beta release and my e3_terminal is missing some metrocop animations. And the other half of the terminal is messed. Theres no maps in my version like your showed of the beta breen. I have the beta trainstation maps though, they are beta versions of the HL2 release versions, but i wanna see the beta beta trainstations, or terminal or w/e

If you want a quality experience with the beta, you wanna go surf some good HL2 forums and look for some gamer-created patches for the leak that will fix maps and models.

Plus, the beta is totally fucked on ATI graphics cards. You can only use the beta on an Nvidia card.
