Fantastic job man, just amazingly well done. I just sold my acoustic setup and am scaling down to an e-kit for apartment living, After seeing your videos, I know what kit I want to buy now, this thing is perfect!
Im bout to buy this kit aswell.............does the bass trigger have any trouble accomidating the double pedal? do both beaters respond well etc??? thanks!

Hi Jacko64, you still got the kit? Mine arrives tomorrow and I cant wait yehaaa! I thought you did a wonderful interpretation of that song and it shows the kit off very well!! Hope you are still drumming with a talent like that?. All the best...Dave
This is an amazing song and your drumming sound amazing and makes this drum-less track kick ass. I can not wait to hear more of your playing. Have a Happy 4th of July. God bless you and your family.
depends on were you live, here in europe its available for 999 eruos for the standart set, or for the special ít's 1499 eruos, propably alot cheaper in the US though
Ciao sei bravissimo!! complimenti...io ho il set special...comunque...come si intitola la canzone?...mi farebbe piacere se mi rispondesse qualcuno...grazie! e complimenti!!
Do you keep your drums up against the wall like that to keep the bass drum from sliding away? My old set of Yamahas used to have that problem as I played... the bass drum would keep moving. I had the spikes down and in to carpet, but it would still move.
I'm going to the buy the standard kit, so i'm going to buy a double bass pedal seperate. I'm fine about that but I don't know whether there's enough inputs to add another cymbal? anyone know?
Nice playing dude, sounded really good. I am looking at buying this kit second hand, except it is the SE version,(think an extra cymbal may be the diff), I do not know exactly how old it is except that it is " fairly brand new pair of drums that I have barely used".
I am new to e-drum kits, and would like to know the 3 biggest things I NEED to be aware of with this kit.
I see on the sellers posted pictures, the kick-drum pad shows clearly visible indentations from the beaters (DW 4K)..
Hi Jacko, I bought the same kit, and I love it too! The sound and the quality of the kit is indeed great!
I have a question, how did you recorded your song including the drums? Because I want so record my improvements. Could you please send me a message back? I would really appreciate it!
Are all the pads still triggering well? I know you've had this kit for awhile and I had heard some bad stuff about how Yamaha e-kits have had problems with pad connections wearing out or not triggering properly after having the kit for a year or so. Any problems? I can't believe how much better this kit seems compared to the Roland TD-3.
Well I love mine but I suppose mesh heads would be more neighbour friendly although the rubber pads do a great job, about the same loudness as playing a rubber practise pad ..
As a owner / drummer of a Yamaha DT Express IV Kit, I have to say that sounded excellant. I'm new to drumming and find it enjoyable as well a challenging. Any tips you might have for a new drummer (me in this case) would be appreciated.
awesome song, i like the drumming better than the original, you can hear the drums better in this one. i was wondering if you can buy any double bass pedal or if you need a certain kind.
Thanks... I use a big dog double & I know of drummers using DW pedals. The diameter of the kick pad is 5 inches across...so if your chosen pedals two beaters fall within that spead you should have no problems
Hey, i might get an electronic drum kit(probably in the $1000 range), but i was wondering if it bangs on the ground a lot because i live in an upstairs apartment?
You do get some noise off the pads, the kick pad probably being the loudest..I have heard some people living in apartments have made a wooden type platform/riser to isolate the ground noise... hope that helps
Tight work man. I read your response as to how to record your practice to the pc, but how did you videotape also? Amazing how some folks are technology savy. I'm a caveman. I would greatly appreciate it.
The video (Picture) was recorded on a 7 mega pixal camera(Without audio). The audio was recorded from the module outputs into the PC soundcard and recorded with Nero. The vid & audio was then matched up in Ulead videostudio 9 and saved as a WMV file to keep file size down before being uploaded to YouTube
hi m8, great video. I am thinking about getting one of these kits can you just let me no how hard is it to set up with the wiring and stuff is it quite simple. Please get nack to me thanks
Connect from the 2 outputs on the module into the pc soundcard for recording the audio...This is a user set I created layering maple & oak kit sounds together and using lots of reverb (all done on the module)..Cheers
I'm with nicholls1, it has exceeded my expectations as well. All in all a better value than the Rolands, though you can't go wrong with the Roland TD-6SXT-V-Tour. It comes down to preference. I like the extra cymbal, and real high hat stand. Very easy to gig with, easy set up. Play them both, see with you think.
I've got the DTXpress IV Special with the DTXTREME tom as the snare and the hi hat that comes with the big kit. I really like it. Waiting on the NEW DTXTREME III when it comes out!
Nice sound I have the Yamaha DTXplorer not as good as the ones in this video.

radfordeddyshaun 4 years ago
great playing a musicality. Im thinking of getting that kit so i got a few questions.
1) how easy is it to record onto the computer?
2) is there input slots for more pads?
3) how well does a double bass pedal work?
4) is their any downsides in your opinion?
Krillby 4 years ago
u mean me or him lol
radfordeddyshaun 4 years ago
either if you know the answers

nah sorry mate i dont know yet im still waiting to get my kit
radfordeddyshaun 4 years ago
1) yes, the kit records to a computer
2) yes, slots for more crash/splash
3) not tried it
4) no, I tried the TD-3 (from Roland) first, sent it back and got this one instead, hell of a lot more worth it :)
