The thing about George's songs is, even though there were so few during that time, all of them were really great songs. They all had enormous impacts, like While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Something, and Taxman, as well as his less-credited songs, like I Want To Tell You, Long, Long, Long, Think For Yourself, etc. The others had some songs that were so-so, although they were still good, but all of George's were absolutely fantastic.

Hey, the man's entitled to his opinion, he said the song is pretty good. Right at this point in the Beatles career this is where Harrison really starts to break out. He had 3 songs on "Revolver". But it IS Paul McCartney played that great leade guitar solo here. I heard Harrison wrote it because at that time in England he had to pay 95% income taxes, which after working hard for years didn't sit well with him.

I heard about the George Martin thing, which is probably true. I also heard that Pete didnt want to change his hairstyle to the new "Beatle" look, and John did not like him for that. Also heard that Pete was very popular with the girls, and that naturally upset Paul...a bit jealous perhaps. Rumors were Paul wanted an ugly drummer.
