Although the "sensation" of trouble is at the wrest, the actual “seminal” cause is impingement of the median nerve around the pronator teres muscle (proximal to the elbow)!

im a professional tattoo artist and everday i go to work now my wrist is becoming really sore and the side of my hand and finger tips will go numb and sort of pins and needles, this will last for ages, its driving me crazy cuz im having to stop half way through workin to take a break till my hand returns to normal, does this sound like carpal tunnel? im really shitting my self cuz i hate ops :/

it definately is carpal tunnel..i have carpal tunnel and thats how mine started..u should get it looked at right away...surgery is the last resort..there are other non medical treatments that might work first

Hi. It depends on which fingers are going numb. If it is the pinky and ring finger, it could be ulnar nerve (cubital tunnel syndrome). If it the other fingers, it could be carpal tunnel. I am having surgery on both in less than a week. My cubital tunnel is much worse than the carpal.

I had carpal tunnel surgery few days ago.
The only concern that I have is that I can't
hardly move my hand back.
